What is the Army Reserves units in your area? That's something that most people forget to think about. When you sign up for the Reserves/Guard, you will be assigned to the closest unit with your MOS requirement. That means that you may be driving clear across the state to do your weekend drills. I don't say this to discourage you, just that you keep this in mind.
Your first step is to talk to the recruiter and take the ASVAB. We always told people to NOT lock down on a particular job, because you still have to qualify for it, and an opening has to be there. Have several different MOSs in mind that sound interesting.
Please don't get discouraged no matter what the results are. Good luck, and congratulations on your decision.

I really support your decision to join, but I will tell you about my experience. I went to MEPS for the same mos as you and got there and was told my job didn't exist anymore and I could be a watercraft engineer. Be careful! First talk to your local recruiter, then study really well for the ASVAB. The higher your score, the better the jobs are, the more you get paid. You want to make your time spent in the Army the best and most valuable as possible! Good Luck, and I hope I helped a little!

The essential approaches that the folks can battle international warming is eliminating their older mannequin vehicles (1979 Buick) when you consider that, older vehicles emmitt extra poisonous fumes into the air. Its seen that the extra technological complicated a vehicle is, the fewer unsafe gases it emmitts. A vehicle that used to be developed three or four years in the past might be extra economic system pleasant than a vehicle that used to be assembled 35 years in the past. For prime populated towns akin to New York, Bus and Taxi companys will have to exchange present automobiles with vehicles which might be powered by means of hydrogen or electrical energy. Just consider, if each most important town used the Toyota Prius as taxi's, there might be a diminished degree of air pollution, and in addition taxi fares would be vastly scale down as good.

Second on Wuttwutt. Skip that stupid practice test recruiters give & just take the ASVAB first (use the study book & don't sign up for a job that day), then take a look at what you qualify for, what local units have to offer - it's nice to see who you'll be working for & what you'd be doing before you ever go to basic. Lots of research saves lots of frustration later.

Go to your local recruiter and join. If you are already trained you will be in the operating room quite soon. If you are not trained the army will train you.

Sam Houston,TX is one of the Armies Medical training sites....call a recruiter and ask about how to get into there...
Thanks in advance for being willing to care for our wounded troops !! My fiance is an Army Medic...in Afghanistan...just had his tour extended 1 week before it was up..thanks to NATO...
BTW: ALL our troops are under NATO command now...so you may want to also check out NATO's guidelines....

I would call the Army Reserves and ask them. They probably have requirements, but i imagine they wouldn't mind telling you what those requirements are.

Are you already an OR specialist? If not you could get your training first. Or you could contact a recruiter.
