Wow how judgemental are you? Judge not lest ye be judged. That woman can wear whatever color gown she wants and if she wants a big celebration to mark the event, who are you to say she's wrong? Are you perfect? Obviously not since you're talking about people on Yahoo. Get over yourself.

Off-white would be a much better choice.
Is this her first wedding? Maybe it's her dream to wear white.
You have to remember, though, white only became a popular wedding dress colour during the Victorian era (less than two hundred years ago). It has nothing to do with morals. It was a fashion trend that became attached to symbolizing virginity during a conservative time in history. And two hundred years...just a drop in the bucket of time. And that conservatism no longer represents cultures and lifestyles today. We're now in a new era where white no longer means virgin.
In this day and age, pretty much anything goes, so really, white doesn't have the same meaning as it had before.
She's not fooling anyone, so why should you fret over it? Let it go...it doesn't mean anything in this day and age.

What is she supposed to do? Wear a black dress with the words I have had premarital sex sewn on it? She is the bride, why should she not draw attention to herself? If you don't approve of it, then don't go to the wedding. I'm sure she wouldn't want someone there who is sitting there judging her anyway.
It's OK that you have morals, but I think that you are going a little over board and a little hard on this lady. She has found someone to love her and her children, be happy for her.

Those are your morals, not hers, you can't inflict your moral beliefs on someone else. There is no stigma attached to wearing white or any colour to weddings any more, move with the times. Why should she not wear white? Why should she not have the wedding she wants whatever her circumstances? Why should she not have a big wedding and celebrate the fact that she is pregnant and have her family with her? There are no reasons not to have the wedding she chooses, times have changed and as it is not affecting your moral standards so there is no reason for you to object.

Well actually the white wedding dress is to symbolise warning off evil and not the colour of a virgin bride,
It's her wedding and should be her speicial day, why do you have to go and ruin it for her. If you don't like it, don't go to the wedding. What bride does not want to draw attention to herself. If you are so moralistic, why can't you just be happy that they are finally getting married?????
Just because she has had kids out of wedlock does not mean she has no morals. There is only one worthy to judge us?

I think white is traditionally held has the color for purity and virginity in a marriage ceremony.
Now let's consider that this person never had a chance to have her chastity honored. Maybe the groom has given her this type of re-enforcement and loving-kindness in her spirit.
Let's further engage this theory. Most young girls dream and fantasize about this day of their life. Could it be that this IS the first and perhaps ONLY chance that this person will ever have a day to call her own?
And maybe this is the way this couple is expressing to the world their love for each other and that they want this to be an actual declaration of: "until death do us part".

I'm old fashioned too, but in this day and age, it is acceptable to wear any color. 99% of brides that wear white aren't virgins, and that is what wearing white really 'signifies', so I guess a lot more than the woman you know are at fault!

So are you saying people who do that don't have morals. My oppion is you are just hating on the women. It is one thing to be old fashion. But it is not in you right to judge her or insult her life. By your character that is all you know how to do. Were are the morals in that.
