Why do Mexicans get medical and other aid and americans who need it are denied or do not get as much?

Why is it so hard for americans to get medical care and any kind of support in their own country but foreigners can cross a border and get medical and legal support. We have veterans who fought for our freedoms and they are living on the streets or living on barely any money. Even our elderly people can't get the support they need but if you sneak across a border illegally............you can?

I know there are plenty of other people who manipulate the system but, why is it that most paperwork that you fill out asks if you are a migrant farmworker? In FL they get benefits way easier than most people. I know a girl who has 2 kids and left a husband who beat her. She had a job that only paid $300 a month and she was told she made too much and was denied any benefits, except medical. She was also in school. It should not matter who you are or where you came from....you should ONLY get benefits if you have a SS# and are a legal citizen.

You don't know me and I do help ...my father is a Veteran and disabled so is my mother who has fighting to get some kind of benefits because she is ill.

And....what part of my question makes me a bigot??? You should return home and take your anti-psychotic pills.

It pisses me off, I was born in Los Angeles County, I have lived in the US my whole life. I have no health insurance. My medication that I need costs over 400 dollars a month. I went to the medical office.... they might as well just laughed in my face. I guess it is because I am white. The system is effed up.

You are absolutely right - only not just Mexicans, add Asians, Ukrainians, etc. I think, no! I know that our Welfare system needs major changes. Funny - immigrant families with two adults get money assistance, free medical, free college, free daycare while they are in college, subsidized housing, in-home supportive services - where they claim that they take care of a family member who is on SSI, and, of course SSI itself. And all this happens, while an american single mother is struggling through school and just cannot make enough to pay for medical & day care, yet because she works & generates income she is rejected all these benefits, versus if she set on her behind. Cannot say enough on this, our system needs serious help, otherwise some will pay taxes and suffer, and the others enjoy the free ride.

Certain SSI programs require that you prove your are poor and this is done by showing work receipts and assets lists and most of this is verified by income tax returns and pay stub receipts.
Because illegal allien people have no SS# and pay no taxes, get paid cash and show no evidence of assets ...they qualify over American citizens who can't qualify cuz they have the legal documents.You have to be really poor to get this help. Most people can't qualify cuz even though they are poor, they have something and it is verifiable. The illegals have more many times, drive new cars etc but show no documentary evidence as they live in a cash economy. Yes, that's right. The people who administer Our SSI system are forced to help these people because they (illegals) have NO Documents. Welcome to the laws of the US of A and the way the beaurocrats run our country.

I know how you feel me and my boyfriend are both white and USA born I called just yesterday to see about getting him some goverment help. He works everyday but he don't make that much and he can not afford to go to a dentist he has bad bad teeth he wants to try and get them fixed he is in pain all the time. so anyways i called and I was basically told NO we have no kids in the home and he is white and a male and has a job So No he could proably get no help. That pissed me off. Why should someone that has chosen to work and take care of thereselves be turned away when an illegal can get all the help they need that makes me so mad. I wanna yell discrimination! everyone else gets to why shouldn't us WHITE AMERICANS be able to ?

Why only Mexicans????????What about everyone else who comes over on a visa but never leaves when it runs out?(govenor arnold).If you knew anything---ppl ca'nt get help from social services unless they have a green card and either a social # or a tax I.D #.They don't get free handouts...well,I am pissed off cause migrant workers do get free daycare fot their kids.But I guess if I wanted to be a migrant worker I could get free daycare too.As is,we can't even get medicaid for our kids cause my husband makes too much money(100 dollars over)a month.And he's illegal ,sooooooooo I guess all illegals don't recieve free handouts.Still mad about migrant daycare though.

I agree, I work in my local state social service offices and it is full of pregnant hispanic females. They drive new cars, i'm talking Escalades, Hummers, Dodge Rams and Ford F150's all new not old and they are getting services Medicaid, Foodstamps and day care. I just saw two American girls one black, one white come into this office for assistance and they were denied help. They were both full time college students and they also work but they were denied any service. I guess they should have been pregnant instead of helping themselves.

not all true I know many Armenians here in CA and let me tell you they all live off from the rest of us, they get food stamps, they get their rent paid, and general relief as they call it now, medical and most of the help they can get and this one includes Russians as well and a lot of middle Easterners not only Mexicans or Latinos and lots of Americans as well, so just get the facts not the opinions, I don't like Mexicans as well but cannot blame it on them only...

Methinks we have an embittered racist...i like this how your kicking the mexicans for your flawed system, get yourself a National Health..sure, our NHS isnt 100%, but its a damn fine example of free and decent healthcare, somethign everyone should have. Heres to the death of private healthcare!

The illegals learned how to work the system and we haven't. That is why the government is trying to stop the current aid programs and replace them with guest workers who pay taxes.
