Does that mean everything will be back to normal a few minutes afterwards, like in a real eclipse? Because I was not aware that eclipses were permanent.

We've had gay marriage in UK for some time now and society is still hanging together much as it did before. No sign of any eclpises and yes what's to be afraid about "eclipses" we all love them people travel the globe to witness them.

Ratzinger is a confused homophobe in a dress and Prada designer shoes, dripping with jewelry and living it up large in luxury surrounded by cardinals of dubious sexuality...everything he says is spoken in riddle-me-ree... respect gays but hate them as intrinsically evil.

Ratzy has a snakes tongue and beady eyes to match...a nasty piece of work. Not Benedict rather Maledict.

Gay marriage literally, itself, isn't necessarily an eclipse. Gay marriage is the result of sinful desires, which eclipse (blocks out our sight) of God. Therefore, gay marriage is what you get BECAUSE of this eclipsing of God's grace. People turn away from God and do what they feel like, which is why we see so much trouble in this world.

For, it is a great danger that threatens the world's social fabric and a disease. In the same way as a virus kills the human body, this danger brings about subtle social collapse. Homosexuality, prostitution, pre-marital and extra-marital sex, sexual misdemeanors, pornography, sexual harassment and the increase of sex-related illnesses, are a number of important indications of the collapse of moral values.
With 22 million dead in 20 years, the proportion of sex-related illnesses is an important criterion to help indicate the extent of the problems facing humanity. According to the records of the World Health Organization (WHO), sex-related diseases forms one of the largest segments of illnesses. These reports show that of an estimated 333 million new cases of sexually transmitted diseases occur in the world every year.18 In addition, AIDS continues to be the most serious problem. Statistics of WHO indicate that the total number of AIDS deaths since the beginning of the epidemic have been 18.8 million persons.19 The report of the World Health Organization for the year 2000 sums up the situation succinctly: "AIDS is unique in its devastating impact on the social, economic and demographic underpinnings of development." Among the most frightening developments is the spread of homosexuality. The audacity of today's homosexuals makes one think of the end of the people of Lut who were noted for their homosexuality. As it says in the Qur'an, when they flamboyantly rejected Lut (as)'s invitation to the right path, Allah destroyed the city and its people by a great disaster. As a reminder, the remains of this perverse society still lie beneath the water of Lut's Lake (the Dead Sea).

gay marriage is man's effort to legalize for themselves what God has forbidden since.
it like how some of our corrupt officials create new laws to suit their personal purposes.
it becomes established when they all agree as it will benefit themselves.

marriage was first established in the garden of eden. at that time, no gay was present there.

i'm not against any gay people. we have no right to blame them either. but when it comes to what God has established, please don't try corrupting them.

and no! that is not what is meant by the vatican.

ok. the vatican seems to anger a lot of different people because of different things, so whats say everyone with a gripe write the pope and the cardinals a letter and tell them to shut up, maybe an e-mail?
someone told me to shut up in an e-mail from this q&a so what's so special about them?
here you go! this is your chance!
