There are many other ways you can accomplish your goal. One of the best ones is the Big Sister program:

Another way is to volunteer at the local children's home. You can take the first steps toward meeting your goal one girl at a time. You don't have to be famous in order to do that.

In fact, you can make yourself famous by working with the volunteer programs in your area, and doing enough work with them that you receive an award for your service, the way I did. I got my name in the paper and I was on TV when I received my award at a banquet sponsored by the local TV station.

What a nice thing you are hoping to do! I wonder, though, about your wanting to become famous in order to do it. You can be a role model for your friends without being on the Disney Channel. By living your life with honesty and integrity, you will naturally become that role model. There are probably clubs in school where you can help others feel better about themselves. Leadership clubs, peer counseling, something like that. You can also volunteer for a community group, such as a women's shelter. (be sure to check local regulations - you might have to be 18) But there are, undoubtedly, local groups that you can join to help others.

If you want to pursue acting, by all means, do so. Disney is not the only venue for young talent. Start with your school. Audition for the plays. Work backstage. Ask your drama director about outside acting classes. Check out your local theatre scene. Audition for a community theatre production. Work with your guidance counselor to find a good college that offers a performing arts major.

Be wary of anyone offering to be a manager and wanting you to sign an exclusive contract. There are many people out there who will not hesitate to take advantage of an inexperienced young person. Never sign anything unless it is reviewed by your family's lawyer. Also, never pay to audition for anything. Legitimate professionals are not allowed to charge anyone to audition.

Find a mentor in your school and later in your college. And if a situation doesn't feel right, it most likely isn't right. Listen to your inner voice. It will never steer you wrong.

Best of luck to you, dear.
