Some people say yes, but noone knows.

And really, who cares? We are all equal to God.

Black people are not from God's curse.

Cain was marked, not cursed, as a form of shame and a form of protection. Everyone probably hated him. The bible says nothing of him being dark, or his children for that matter.

What are races, anyways? God did not create man as "races", he only created a man and a woman. From there man procreated. Even our own DNA is evidence: there's not DNA sequencing for any race.

We're all brown! Sure, some are darker/lighter, but that adds to the flavor of the world. I'm sure God wants us be different. He just doesn't want us hatin' each other 'cuz we are different.

The belief that blacks are the descendants of Cain is actually a belief championed in modern times by the Mormon church. I'm willing venture a guess that the Christians you've heard this from are in fact Mormons. Of course with the civil rights movement and societal accpetance of blacks as equal in the U.S. the Mormon church downplayed its racist tenets and even amended its rules so that blacks could serve in the church on equal footing with whites. In short, there is no truth to the belief that Blacks are part of a "curse."

Actually, a little theory my wife and I developed...

We think everybody was dark-skinned in the beginning (they were in the Middle east) and that the "mark" that Cain got was that God turned him white! Can't say for sure that's true - but it seems like a possibility and is much more meaningful.

BTW - I'ma white dude...

You don't really deserve any serious consideration if you believe what you hear rather than do your own research. Cain went to the land of Nod and married. Where to you suppose those people came from? God created all the races, and he said it was GOOD!

No, "black" ppl are just regular ppl who, over time, their skin has darkened because they have decended from a ppl who were strong physical laborists. they often worked in the fields all day and thus over hundreds of years, their skin has turned to a color more tolerant of direct sunlight.
