"Go forth and teach all nations." This means everyone including pagans. When you become a Christian usually via Baptism, it does not matter what you were before, you are now a Christian.
The central Christian message is that God raised Jesus from the dead and we now hope for eternal life. People have argue that God did no such time or there is not eternal life.
Since you were a pagan, I refer you to Acts and the Epistles. Jesus did not minister to non Jews. Paul is the apostle to the gentles (non Jews).
I am happy that you have found Jesus Christ and that you walk the Christian life. In Acts and Epistles (particular those written by Paul), you will see the issues that the apostles faced in the Early Christian Church. Paul writes about many things one of them being faith/believing. The Christian walk requires a lot of faith/believing especially when the walk is difficult, but fortunately, Jesus will carry you.

I was born and raised as a Catholic in my youth... and I became an ex-Catholic since then to become a Free Thinker.
My adventurous quest led me to a journey far and wide, visiting most if not all the major ports of Religions and Philosophies of both the ancient and modern World. And I spent some years in deep meditation of Buddhism before completing my spiritual circumnavigation back to the fold to join the flock of the Good Shepherd and Great Teacher once more...
Now with my renewed vigor and Faith, I DO have a much stronger alliance with Yeshua Messiah than I ever did before. Praise be upon Him.
Peace be with you!

Honestly i would have to say that i really didn't even think about it, i was really young when i wasn't a Christian. As far as I can remember, I just new that there was some form of greater being out there and when I came to know Jesus Christ I realized that the greater being was Him.
Keep spreading Jesus' Love to the World!!

From a young age I used to look up in the sky and know God was there and no one in my family were Christians. It's amazing how God will draw people to Him. It wasn't until I was 21 that i trusted Christ and was saved

I was non-commital. My parents never took me to church when I was a child, but some friends of theirs did occassionally.
As I grew up, I became more and more hedonistic, although I always felt monotheistic. I figured that there was one God, but without any knowledge I ended up worshipping myself.
As I grew into a man, God kept people in my life to remind me that He was still there and that He wanted me for Himself. (Scott Cantrell of Ellsworth AFB, if you're out there, thank you!) I kept running from Him and kept worshipping myself, women, and sex.
By the time I was 21, I had had a child out of wedlock, followed shortly by an ill-advised and short lived "marriage".
Then, halfway through 22, God said to me, "Get in the truck, boy; it's time to come on." The heaven-bound soul inside finally burst through my calloused heart, and I did as my Lord and my God commanded. Thank God.

Lady,
I happened to see God face to face and I happened to watch the beaty and the ecstacy of the marriage supper of the Lamb when I met up with God on the throne on July 13, 1998. Today I share them all on yahoo answers. Look into my answers and have the life of God as you read then. Reflect and pray the prayer that Jesus taught us. Jesus was our brother and he taught us thus...
Our Father
.............
Amen.
And now we are given his name. The name we have is our identity. And by giving his name to us, he give us his identity. And now it is up to us to walk to be ourselves or to be as the identity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
All the Sons of God is who the Christ is. For if they are not Christ in the Spirit or in manifestation, then they are children outside and *******, fake sons.
Should you happen to decide to learn from the yoke God gave me, then my number is: +639263726166

I have believed in God since my teens, but did not give my life to Him then. I talked the talk and tried to walk the walk, but I was faking it. I ended up doing drugs and into sex, etc. and other things that messed me up. I was even trying to witness while I was doing pot! It was a statement that someone told me while I was trying that witnessing that stuck with me. He said that he would respect my views much more if I lived the life. The last day I was not a Christian, I was totally drunk and trying to talk about God to someone. It was then that I decided to give my life over to God. I called my friend and asked him to come over...I really needed to talk about God. I had consumed about 26 oz of booze that night, I was stumbling drunk. When my friend came over 2 hours later, I was totally sober. That night I asked God into my life and said that if I stayed away from situations where pot was being used, would He please help me when the drugs came to me. He was faithful and there were many, many temptations I had never had before or since. I even had a hooker ask me if I wanted to smoke up at 8:30 in the morning! I was truly addicted to pot and had been for 2 years. I was always stoned. I have not used since and, though I still suffer some consequences from my drug usage, my life has turned around...that was 20 years ago. Thanks for the question! Blessings to you!

I used to do Astrological charts for people and I used to read Taro cards for other people. I was dead on too. I AM SO THANKFUL and GRATEFUL that God delivered me from that. I was really ignorant to the truth. Thank you Jesus!
