so i like this guy and im pretty sure he likes me (somewhat) because he kinda told me... but he also told me he was in love with this gurl who he's known for 3 years... she has a bf though so yeah. anyway like last thursday we were spending time after school before my band auditions and we were playing card games but he put his arm around me at one point and picked me up another time. then at the end when we both had to go he hugged me... yea it doesnt seem big but he's NVR done that with me before and i've nvr seen him actually hug ppl. then today (6-6-06) we went on a field trip for school and like he spent most of the time walking with this other gurl who is like 1000 times prettier than i could evr be. But in the end we sat on the bus together on the way back and he was playing cards with his friends (so his back was to me) but after he finished he would always lean on me. at one point (after cards) he put his hand out... and we held hands. but i dont know if he really does like me

and what i should do about it if he does. but i mean whenever like we're in public again he acts like he doesnt like me and that he HATES talking to me.... is this a bad sign? because i do want to ask him out... but i'm totally afraid that he'll say no... do you think he likes me? HELP PLZZZ

OH! on the holding hands thing... we did for a bit but i told him 2 "not do this to me" to not lead me on cause i know he didnt like me... and shushed me... did he mean it as an indication he did... or that he just wanted me 2 shut up?

Sounds like this guy is just using you. He can't get the girl he's in love with for 3 years, and he spend time with this hot chick on a field trip. He ends up with you because you're the only one that will stay with him. Why spend your time with some one who will tell you he's in love with another girl, spend the whole day with someone else and not talk to you in public, Lose the jerk, or are you really desperate to show others that you're HOLDING HANDS with a boy. Holding hands and putting your hands around the neck doesn't mean anything.

I think that he is playing you to get some. Thats just what I think!!!!!However he can't seem to hate you to much in public if he sat with you on the bus and his friends saw him with you. I dont know what to tell you other than what I have already said. I do not want to say to much because what if it turns out to be a good thing...... good luck

first of all dont ask him out! second of all he might like you but he is afraid of what his friends might think,which is shallow but common at his age. so you have to decide if you like this guy enough to remain friends with him and just enjoy the friendship and if he goes further good if not then hey dont look too much into it just be a friend to this guy for a while. but dont ask him out. just act like your only interested in as much as he is. that way he wont ever be able to use it against you. by the way . you might think this other girl is way prettier than you are but he might not . he may see you as way prettier than her. guys like fun girls that like things they like more than sassy girly girls anyways . so be yourself,enjoy what you and this guy have and let him lead the way and dont try to push anything.

I think he is just the typical guy who likes a girl and is just afraid to admit it. But by the sounds of it , this is just my opinion, he likes you. go for it. If you don't do it now He'll probably think your not interested and he'll just ask some one else.

Sounds like he might like you, but maybe he's scared or nervous. Try asking him out instead, why not? Even if it doesn't work out, you'll be happy you tried, and most guys will be flattered.

Ignore him and you will see does he likes you or not. If he likes you he will ask you what is the problem.
I always said, if guy likes a girl he will ask her on date, but don't bee his reserve....
