Here is your chance... slam away. Tell me how being a lesbian is bad. Try to convince me that I should change. Is it against the Bible to be a lesbian??

Ok, looks like I lost out on some fun by giving away my intentions. Oh well, it was a riot anyway.

BTW: A few of you don't seem to get it at all.... *shrugs*

Have you ever heard of hidden agendas?

You truly think is terrible, but you denied it by laughing you butt off with a girlfriend that you probably truly inside do not know if you love with your heart. So keep laughing and asking this question, that truly deep down are asking yourself. Whatever you do is your business and you are the only responsible one for your actions. Until than I am not here to conviced you or anyone, you will have to face God one day, and than you can ask!

No, I don't find it terrible. I don't think being a lesbian is bad, and even if I thought I could change you into a straight woman, which I don't, why would I want to? As far as it being against the Bible, there are verses in the Bible that say that it's wrong for people to be gay, but it also says that slavery is cool, pork and shellfish are bad, and that people should be stoned for things too numerous to mention. Lots of people tend to pick and choose which parts of the Bible they want to live by. Then again, I'm not Jewish or Christian, so what's it matter to me?

Hope you and your girlfriend are having fun!

I don't think you can just "change" can you? I don't think it matters who you love or sleep with, it's the kind of person that you are that matters. And no people-- I am not a lesbian or bi or anything like that. I am a very happy married mom of 5. I have taught my kids that all people should be treated the same, it doesn't matter what they look like, what color they are or who they sleep with, it is what is inside that counts. My 2 very "straight" sons have attended the gay pride festival the last two years to show their support to the gay/lesbian community. I say laugh your butts off at the ignorance of some people!

Homosexuality is an abomination.

But, theres a Bible verse that syas man should not lay with another man, but I am not sure it says women cant lay with other women. My boyfriend says it doesn't say that because even God knows two women getting it on is hot!

Its a sin, sure, but no more than anything else. I have pre-marital sex with my boyfriend, and that is also a sin, so you wont find any judgment from me. I dont care what people do behind closed doors, I have a few gay friends, and they know I think its a sin, but that NOONE is in any place to tell them what to do nor how to live.

Good Luck finding anyone else here that will tell you the same thing!

Best :)

I hope you´ll be laffing your butt off at all the lame answers you may get...but....can you tell me exactly where in the bible does it say that homosexuality is a sin...it actually doesn´t! No where! It even states "Love thy Neighbor" What do you think that means?? What it does say is and always will be interpreted and twisted to fit the "ideals" and morals of uniformed religion....I spent too much time looking for the "gay is sin rule" in the bible after learning the very same thing i share with you today...I learned it from a guy that was actually studying to be a minister.

Actually I think you don't really want to know what is right or wrong, from the Bible as you say, you want to have a laugh at what people say. I see your baiting reverse psychology there. Still Go right ahead and laugh all you can while you can, because if that makes you laugh then I tell you today, that you will not laugh for very long with that attitude, anyway laugh all you want!Personally your laughing does not bother me one bit!!!! And as for telling you about what the Bible says well I don't need to tell you that because obviously, you already know, no need for me to tell you! You can lead a horse to water but you can't make her drink it.

No, I don't find it terrible. I speak against that spirit that has a stronghold upon you though. I just want to share The Truth in Love. I'm not here to judge anyone. It's not you; it is that spirit that dwells within you and I speak against it in Jesus name. Don't be blinded by the god of this world who glorifies the lusts of the flesh. The God of Truth has a wonderful plan for each and every soul, but the enemy the devil will stop at nothing to destroy you and whosoever he can, including myself. If he could.
Grace be with us all from The Father God and The Lord Jesus Christ!

No, of course it isn't terrible that you are a librarian; when I can't find a book in the library, I always ask the librarian for help. Oh, did you say lesbian? That's also ok, but I will try and convince you to change - into something comfortable, put your feet up and read that great book (the librarian suggested). :-)

Being a lesbian contradicts natural law - i.e., it's natural for boy parts to fit into girl parts, and any other combination of boy or girl parts is unnatural. In fact, reproduction (at least in the days before in vitro fertilization and cloning and all that) REQUIRES that the boy part fit into the girl part; no other combination works. Because God is the source of natural law, those who contravene natural law disobey God and commit sin.

(At least that's what some Christians would say.)

For me, it's a tough issue - who am I to criticize or judge others? I'm far from perfect - I have my own sins to worry about before I should counsel others about theirs. That's my big problem with a lot of us Christians: we are very quick to judge, and our judgmentalism casts Christ's message in the wrong light. Jesus hung out with the rogues of his day - lepers, sinners, tax collectors, and the like - and if we followed his example we would be living our lives in common with the unsavory characters of our day, not just spouting criticism from the pulpit and then driving home and shutting our families away from the rest of the world.

From my perspective, my job as a Christian is not to judge but to invite. I want others to experience the peace and joy and forgiveness and healing that I have experienced through Christ; his is a message that I believe everyone needs desperately to hear.

But I also know that "narrow is the road that leads to salvation" and there are many who sit in the pews weekly at my church (perhaps even myself!) who are smugly traveling on the wrong road. I do believe that Christians have a duty AMONG ONE ANOTHER to hold one another accountable and to help one another walk in a manner worthy of our calling as Christians. But Christ didn't intend for his followers to be snooty and to look down upon "sinners" as lowlifes; his message is that we are all sinners.

I know when you hear Christianity and God and Jesus, that you may automatically ignore it, but still you should know that God gave his Whole life just for you. I think the least you or anyone can do is to try to live as Christ-like of a life as possible. It says in the Bible, God created man and God created woman, and he made them different, because God initially brought woman(eve) into the world as company of Adam.
