The cafeteria in grade school was my favorite and it was just white bread and some kind of peanut butter.
Funny how happy times can make certain foods better, huh?

The best peanut butter is from Holland, Calve pinda kaas, (Calve peanut butter), I know, I'm Dutch and studied in LA Calif, so I can make a good comparison, and "peanut butter" is something I do not joke with!
(thanks, great question!!)

I have hated the combination of Peanut Butter and Jelly ever since I was forced to eat it everyday as a kid. At this point in my life, I have found that a couple slices of bread spread with the perfect amount of PB just to cover all of each slice...next sprinkle with a touch of cinnamon & sugar mixture on each slice...makes the best pb samich.

I used to take a ferry over to the mainland on weekends to visit my sister, she was in a mental hospital at the time, so it was a rather sad time in my life. But the ferry served a peanut butter and rasberry jam sandwich that I always looked forward to. It didn't have much of either ingredient and the bread was always soggy, but it was that perfect combination that made it so tasty. I still make trips on the ferry just for one of those sandwiches.

My favorite sandwich to add peanut butter to is a home-fried hamburger patty, with creamy peanut butter on one slice of bread and regular mayonaise on the other. Sometimes a slice of American cheese.

It would have to be peanut butter on one slice and strawberry jam on the other. You can put banana right in between the 2 slices. I love the taste of it.
