You should try Nioxin treatment shampoo and scalp therapy. Nioxin is more expensive than other product, but i know it has helped a lot of people. You can also massage your scalp with your fingertips to help the blood circulation, because blood nourish your hair. Therefore, you need good flowing blood circulation. To make your hair thicker, i recommend you to use the hairspray instead of hairgel ( for men). Because hairgel make your hair looks wet, it make your hair looks thinner.

Apply coconut oil daily.
Volumizing shampoos really do work: Up to 50 percent of hair's volume and lift are created in the shower, says Dianna Kenneally, a senior scientist with Physique. Look for a volumizing shampoo with the ingredient polyquaternium-10, which, in addition to enhancing body, also detangles hair (often a concern for those with limp hair, since it tends to be fine and snarl-prone)

Sorry, man, home and over-the-counter remedies are wishful thinking. Hair plugs and transplants work fabulously, but you will have to see a plastic surgeon. It will cost you a few thousand, but it will be a permanent solution that I have seen many happy with.
