The worst body odour I ever smelled probably was my own. Having said this I live in Holland and there are allot of Turks here. They are clean smelling now but years ago while sitting in class with most of them I had to tie a scarf around my face because of the smell. Like I stated...don't notice any bad odour anymore.
The Dutch on the other hand (not all) reek of foul smelling body odour. In the summer time I try to avoid going to an inside mall.

I am currently stationed in Iraq and Arab men DO use soap and a lot of them carry around a small vial of perfume. Most do not use deoderant though. If i had a choice of eating or buying deoderant - i would eat. It is the same in the states though. People don't just not shower or use soap out of choice, it's because they don't have the resourse to do so, weather it be money, can't pay the water bill - whatever.

No, they just sweat a lot. My husband is from Pakistan, and he is clean shaven and showers every single day. Just like I do. His whole family in Pakistani is the same way. His sister's father in law is in Saudi Arabia, and he showers everyday too. They have all of the products we have, as well. but it's just so damn hot over there. I know, I've been there. If you are one of those who hates the heat and likes the cold, I wouldn't suggest shopping on a day when the power cuts out again. I mean, the stores are still open because of the way they are built and you can still see everything quite clearly, but man.......................... Oh, btw, most of the family uses Dove (green type), Dove bodywash, Dove shampoo, Dove conditioner, and Dove moisturizer along with the lotion. Some use Pantene Pro V , but most don't like it a lot.

It is clear you want to insult the Arabs (I am not Arab and black) you little heart! People like you once insult the blacks, then you scared about Russia and you split the country and now are trying to everyway to insult the Arab nation and Muslims! In my childhood I was crazy about everything about America their comic book, their cinema and everything. Still I love their music. But what happen now? Now these days why they are so cruel?
I really can't match my thinking with them now!

the good news is that you went outside your trailer park... the bad news is that you are still as narrow minded as you were this morning.
It is true that there are many Arabs with bo probs but as indicated earlier, some of the rich/educated ones can smell quiet good. However, I still think it is somewhat cultural since water is scarce in most of the middle east!

Its probably their culture. Some cultures find perfumes and cologne offensive or disrespectful. Its like a nonverbal communication. In some parts of the world, body odor is preferred over smelling of perfume or soap.

Actually, it is not aganist Islamic law in anyway. Some people might have sweat gene problem or do not care much about sweat odor as they consider it natural. Others simply do not take a regular shower.
