They must explain anything odd or 'paranormal' away. What I wonder is: Are there any Atheists into Meta-physics? I somehow doubt that an Atheist would be the kind of person to 'charge' a crystal or cast a spell. Are Atheists Materialists? Personally, I believe in many gods and goddesses, by the way. I know from personal experience that the Spiritual exists. Even the most average person could find reason to beleive that something, anything, Spiritual exists and impacts on our physical reality. Oh, well, to each their own.

Well, I think atheists are rational and emotionally volatile. They just think that there is a logic behind everything, no matter when, how that can be explained.
Usually they are science/technical people. Some atheists are good in their analysis about God but afraid to confront the world. I feel, they are mostly intelligent and creative.
Atheism is their strength and weakness.
There are many atheists who were once upon a time had been believers, and the opposite also is true.

Atheist here, let me change this around. Don't you think its kinda weird how christians can say that they do believe in God? what's the difference? you will never understand, because you are ignorant. i understand I read the bible went to church and was a good little christian until one day i woke up and realized that you and all your people are hypocrits and that god, is a farse. so think a bit before you ask these questions.

Let's turn the tables around. ;-) Anytime you judge like this, sweetie, the tables CAN be turned around on you. Here it is:
"What do you think of christians?"
"I mean, don't you think it's kinda weird how someone can say they believe in 'god'?"
Personally, I don't think christians are weird for believing in "god". *shrug* Not a biggie to me. I just wonder why some think it is weird that I cannot believe in "god" and be honest with myself at the same time. :-/

they think that those who believe in God are the ones who are weird. people who believe in God must realize that there are many people out there who dont believe in God as they do. others just dont believe God exist, period. and you cant convince them simply by quoting from the bible. they dont accept the fact that life comes from Life, that we are all simply a result of a mindless big bang in the universe. some of them recognize good and evil but accepts no absolute authority that says which is which. others just dont understand God because they dont really know Him in the first place

when i was little, i was pretty spiritual. i went to Sunday school and prayed every night and believed in god. then i started to think about everything the Cristian faith teaches, and it just made too much sense, it was too easy. now i know you are screaming to yourself "it makes sense because it is true!" but i couldn't help thinking, if i was lost, if i was looking for meaning, this is what i would create to comfort myself. i held on to the concept of god for a long time, because i wanted to believe in him. i wanted to believe that there was a plan, i especially wanted to believe that there was something after death, but saw how i wanted to believe in him so badly as, and realized how easy it would be to take advantage of this impulse in people and use it to control. so i guess in the end it is kind of weird that some people don't believe in god, because they are choosing what is scary and hard and true against what is easy and safe and false.

Atheists are generally smart, good looking, successful, nice, and sexy as hell. Plus, they don't believe in gods.
If you can understand why you don't believe in Thor, it shouldn't be so hard for you to appreciate why I don't believe in your god. Is it wierd not to believe in Thor, or would it seem insane to believe in such an obviously fictional character?
I like koresh's idea. I'd happily volunteer to play the role of evil, er, um, I mean NICE, atheist.

Yeah it's weird, and sad cause they would have to live for just today and maybe part of tomorrow but there would not be a real future of eternity for them. But, they'd say believers of God are just delusional for thinking that this is not all there is.

Atheists in my experience are freethinkers.
Mostly because they have broken free from the beliefs of their parents or whomever influenced them as children. Most Believers in God have parents who taught them their religion and how to think. Most people don't come to Theism unless they were taught to.
And they have firm grips on reality.

I think we should chain an atheist and an evangelical preacher together and force them to live in the same house for a few months. We can film it and sell it to FOX as the next hit reality show.
