I prefer malibu rum or Parrot bay rum, both Coconut flavore rums - i mix it with a bit of pineapple juice...its yummy
with vodka - i take a dirty martini - vodka with a ton of olive juice
don't do tequila or gin or bourbon

Seriously, here is something I discovered after moving to the Philippines. Here we have a local RUM named Tunduay. It is so cheap ( like $2 a fifth) and it is sooooo gud with water. I never have a hangover...and one nite I drank a whole fifth in a 8 hour drinking spree... next day I felt fine. AMAZING.!
I truley belive that the sugar in mixes and soft drinks adds a great deal to the Hangover effect when drinking.
I dislike the taste of scotch which is normally drank either on the rocks or with water and I always thought those guys were old and stupid for drinking that way....but now I see there might have been a maddness to thier method... ...he he he

well, the whisky coke is a classic, but use good whisky like crown royal. captain Morgan and coke is also really good. those are just very basic common drinks though, i recently had some Smirnoff twisted watermelon flavored vodka with sprite, and that was really good as well.

I like Apple Pie Slammers. Half shot of vodka, half shot of apple juice, sprinkle with a bit of cinnamon, slam it and down it. Sometimes I use Apple Pucker instead of apple juice (like at the bar). Yummy!

Try energy drinks. Those make for a killer drink.
If you've never tried jello shots, those are worth a try.

grapefruit juice and vodka then put salt around the rim...my older sister told me to try it . Its called a salty dog.
