According to scripture, unless the tribulations cut short no flesh will remain, the rapture coming after the tribulation I would say the nukes or whatevers going to torch the earth with fire for the last judgment is going to do a job on it. first the flood wiped everything but noahs people, I would think the fires going to wipe everything except the ones with Jesus>>.

Well, the way it was explained to me was...
When the rapture occurs, the faithful will be taken up to heaven to begin eternity with God. That means that the unfaithful will remain on Earth. Then a number of terrible things will occur, culminating in a great war between God and Satan in which Satan and his minions will experience a final defeat.
A better question to ask is, what does this story mean? To me, it means that my faith gives me hope. When the book of Revelation was written two generations after the death of Christ, people were anxiously hopeful for Christ's return. 2,000 years later, we're still waiting. Has the wait of Christians been in vain? No - because we have hope. We have hope that someday (not a day we can attempt to predict based on this or that interpretation of Scripture or based on "signs" that some claim to find in current events) Christ will return, that God's reign will prevail over all the Earth, that all suffering will come to end. I don't know what form Christ's return will take; I don't know if there will be a rapture, if there really will be a great battle between good and evil. What matters is that I have HOPE that Christ will return, and that hope - not detailed knowledge of the how or when of that return - is all I need.

After the second coming of Christ, all of the "believers" will be taken up to heaven and the "non-believers" will still be left here on earth. So there will be many a few left to struggle through the rapture.
Q: have you ever read the Left Behind series? if you want read the first book in the series it kinda brings thing's into perspective about it, though it is a non fiction book.

Man...I can't wait till the rapture. There are two possibilities and I love both of them
a) all of the hypocritical jerks with their holier than thou attitudes will be stunned when the rapture happens and they don't get taken because they don't follow any of the teachings of a religion they profess to believe in
b) all of the jerks with their rapture crap will disappear from the earth and then we won't have to deal with them. and really, i bet the anti-christ is a pretty cool guy, maybe a little misunderstood, but chill once you get to know him
either way...good times.

yes, there will be many people left behind.there will be 7 yrs of tribulations in which those that were not living for God,at the time of the rapture will have to go through.I have studied the last book of the Bible with a prophecy preacher (Jack Van Impe).I have most of his tapes on this subject. It is going to be worse than when the flood came. May God help you to understand as you read and study this Book.

There is no pre-tribulation "rapture" as is popularly taught. Scripture simply does not teach this. Christ will return AFTER the tribulation.
The seven viles of God's wrath will be poured out upon the earth. Those who worshiped the beast will be destroyed. Many who have not taken the mark will be the unsaved who remain and learn of Christ and populate the millennium. Believers, both the dead in Christ and those alive at His coming, will be changed instantly into their new glorified bodies. These will reign with Christ.
The following is just a very brief list of the major end-of-the-world events in the order they occur:
great tribulation> viles of wrath> destruction of willing participants of the beast system> return of Christ/resurrection and "rapture" of the saints/millennium populated with unbelievers who DIDN'T take the mark of the beast > binding of Satan for 1000 years >end of millennium> resurrection of the rest of the dead >opportunity for salvation for many >Great White Throne judgment period > final battle with Satan >Lake of Fire penalty meted out to all who oppose God >new heavens and new earth >eternal kingdom of God (Promised Land)
The resurrection of the rest of the dead occurs after the millennium, which is an opportunity for salvation to those who never heard the gospel or understood it. The Great White Throne period will end the age and all opposition to God once and for all.

Those who have not accepted the Truth about Jesus Christ, will perish and be left behind, life here on earth will be like an empty hole without the kind of life we have now, no moral value system it will be lawlessness all over, you think its bad with the way crime is now? its nothing like it will be after the rapture.

Where do you get this term "rapture"? I would like to know what the heck you are talking about. Are you just repeating some stuff you heard somewhere? When god comes to judge the world, do you think ANYONE of us is going to be able to figure out what's going on?
I for one will not be listening to anyone who thinks they know all the answers. I'm tired of self-righteous people telling me what to believe. I try to do good and be true to what's right.
sorry for ranting....
