as long as you want to wait or as long as your doctor tells you to wait

my son is 9 months and I'm 19, I'm waiting 3 years. I think it is best to get your body prepared for another pregnancy, like: back down to a normal weight, eating right, and mentally prepared to handle 2 kids!
my friend has a son that is 11 months & due any day- she doesn't know how she's going to do it!
Good luck on deciding- there is a lot more that goes into it then I first realized, like how they can be friends, be in the same school, how you can manage them, affordable, how it is for your body, how they can use some of the same baby gear.. consider everything- good luck!

What's the rush? Enjoy your son for a while. Being pregnant with little ones to take care of is no fun and I don't know why, but when you add another child, it is not twice as much work, but 3 times as much work! If there is no medical reason to get pregnant right away, I'd wait at least a year.

I had my first child at age of 22, he is now 2 years old, and I'm 24. I'm three months pregnant with my second child and I feel like the two and a half years between each one is great. It's your decision and what you feel most comfortable with. But tell you the truth if God feels like its the right time then it will happen. Good luck with the 8 month old and any future kids...

I'd say that definitively, wait at least 2 years. It is not recommended for your body and your mind that you do it before that. Also, keep in mind that a kid is a huge responsibility and is a 24/7 job. Give your body and mind a chance to rest a little bit. Think about and I hope no one is making pressure on you!

A few years - or never - no one says you have to have two - or one!! Too many people live their lives to get married and have kids, and thats great for some people. Its up to you, and whatever you decide is the right answer...just don't think you have to. Congrats on you son by the way!!!!

As far as you gave birth normally (not with a ceasarian) you can start right now if you wish, although ceasarians have developed a lot and you can have another pregnancy after 9-10 months.

up to you, a woman can conceive even after she gave birth especially if not on breastfeeding. but about two years will be good enough space for you. first you can share at least two good years to your baby alone second you can lose the weight you gained before you regain again. my two kids are five years apart, the older one already has a sense of responsibility to his sister.
