Why are people so racist to ALL hispanics?

Some people don't seem to undertand that there is a larger number of hispanics who are in this country legally than those who are illegally. Some of us have been living in this country for many generations. Also why do some people refer to illegal immigrants as Mexicans; not all illegal immigrants are Mexicans, there are many from other countries. Not all of them are from Latin America, there are many from Asia, Africa, and Europe.

I think you are exagerating. Yes, folks do discriminate against what they THINK is what they are seeing. Frequently generalizing.
I guess one of my main beefs is that everytime I see an obviously Hispanic family (in my mind), there are many of them. One of my pet concerns for America is that we have a population problem as much as we have many other problems. Immigration illegal or otherwise should be curtailed a bit for a while. People who come here and have 10 children (born here or imported as a pre exising family) are doing a huge diservice to the planet as well as to this country. Whether they are legal or othewise. The big Companies don't care about polution, population control or the quality of life here. All they want is cheap labor ...so they can make huge profits. All at the expense of the American people, the immigrant newbies and the environment of the planet. It has to be stopped or the good times will surely end soon folks.

I don't think people are racist against all Hispanics, where do you get that idea, because people don't like illegal immigration, just because your against illegal immigration doesn't make you a racist. I no their are a lot of legal Hispanics and that they have lived here for a long time and were born here, but their is a flood of Mexicans and south Americans over running our borders, which we have a right to protect our borders, their are not hordes of Africans or Asians running our borders. Its not Africans, Asians or Europeans standing on street corners looking for work, or making encampments in the bushes, their not the ones protesting in the streets its the Mexicans because they don't want the U.S. to protect it's borders, they want us to let millions and millions just to come in and do what they want and that includes the criminals, I find most immigrants that were marching very disrespectful to the country that is giving them everything, and that makes me sick. They don't have any rights here just because they ran over the border.

I am fully aware that most Hispanics in this country are here legally, and that according to polls, most Hispanics are against illegal immigration.

Some people are just racist. A whole heap of us aren't racist and just don't like illegal immigration.

The type of people that get upset at all Hispanic people and assume everyone is illegal and are from Mexico are not the type to care where a person is actually from or the pride that Hispanic people take in their roots. Its a shame really, because many of those people probably dont even know where the come from. People are angry, and so they must have somebody to be angry at and blame. Things cant just happen....that would be too rational.

An illegal is someone who sneaks into the country illegally, period.
Are you paranoid to think everyone thinks you're illegal? This is why I don't understand why a lot of American hispanics would support illegals... it just causes trouble for them.

I am not racists!!! I have many friends from other nationalities that came here or were born here LEGALLY. As American citizens we have the right to defend our border. We have the right to defend against ILLEGAL INVASION. So you must think it is also okay for terrorists to enter our country and fly plans into buildings and killing thousands of AMERICANS.And YES this is our country even though we have a piss poor govt running it!!!!

Because you (assuming you are legal) are an American. Citizens of Mexico (the country where the vast majority of our immigrants come from) are called Mexicans.

You are confusing race and national origin, just like the rest of the country, you are also making generalities just like those you accuse of being raciest.

First of all I think your tripping in saying that people are as you say they are.Secondly, it may be your inability to be real that has you perpetuating these assumed manners of being amongst others. I don't give a damn about anyone or any body of people who are by and large xenophobic and very much of the same that you accuse others of.

from my understanding Hispanics are sick of illegals too and yes we are fully aware that not all illegals are mexican but the facts are most are and i don't see to many illegal Asians or other nationalities of people with foreign flags in the streets demanding things and drawing bad attention to themselves something to ponder
