Every relationship has its own set of problems to be overcome. A Long distance relationship is no different. If he has any interest in making it work out, then he needs to make the effort to do his part - whether that be calling or whatever is necessary. If he cannot bring himself to get over being "bad" about calling/answering, then obviously he is not too concerned about making the relationship work. The entire responsibility for it should not be on your shoulders, and if you are the one putting forth all the effort there is no way to force it to work.

It sounds like he isn't putting the effort in. The most important things in a relationship that makes it work is trust, honesty and respect.
If you haven't been seeing each other for a long time, then I would suggest having a talk with him. Don't make it an argument, just have a heart to heart. Simply say, "listen.. I care about you and when these things happen, it hurts me".
If you have been seeing him for awhile, then it may just be his pattern and you have to decide if the relationship is strong enough to continue like this.
I hope this helps
p.s. I am now married to my long distance relationship. >>New York>>to England 3,500 miles and 6 1/2 hours by plane!

I am also in a long distance relationship and we make it a point to talk everyday at least either by phone or the computer. I agree with angel_girl2248s post if it's bothering you you should let him know so yall can talk about it and work something out. Its not good to leave feeings inside like that I know for experience.

trust, honesty and the most important thing...communication..coz that's the only way you can make this relationship work. if you can't talk to him about your worries regarding your relationship..then it's never going to work. talk to him, ask him questions. if he ignores you then it's time for you to move on

It can and cannot be normal. Talk to him about it if it's bothering you. If you don't express your feelings, it will continue to happen.
