Yes, you can. But never be one in Singapore, people will look down on ya. Go Australia, UK, USA and live your dreams to be a performer. If you want to be a teacher, then any developed city will be ok.
Depends on what dancer you are too. Ballet and more traditional types may be ok in Singapore, but if you are referring to salsa, hip-hop, disco-type dancing, its quite hard to make a living.

Just like the others have said: Yes, but it takes a lot of work. You need to have the kind of dedication that will allow you to pick up and move all the way across the country permanently, starting tomorrow, because if you get offered a good job you might need to make sacrifices such as this with no prep time at all. Basically, you have to know that this is what you want to do, and then just follow what seems right.
If you have the talent and dedication, you can make a decent living. I say that because you will be able to support yourself and love what you are doing. You may not have money, but because you will be doing what you love you will be 'making a decent living'. The art needs to be the compensation for the hard life you will live.

Having a life in art is living, but very few make a lot of money and have what is considered (in America) success. Dance is especially tough because there are so many who want to do it. Just don't be a dance teacher and start from the bottom, take it to the streets. I started playing guitar on the corner and now I am making national tours.I'm still not at the top but closer then I'd ever imagined.

There is a much better chance for a guy to make it in the performing arts since there is less competition. You have to be very good and willing to do almost anything.

Yes, I think you can. I am sure it might take reinventing yourself, I am a great living in the arts, but I have to do some commerical art to get to the fun stuff!

Possibly, if you are open to teaching classes, but then you may need a college degree...like if you wanted to teach college dance classes. I am an actor, though, and I have to tell you to RUN RUN RUN far away...I am broke!

Probably not in Singapore. I haven't heard of any rich real artists. (those silly mediacorp ones are not artists). I think you'll need a day job.

find your best resouces...teachers...mentors...and family/friend support. stay confident, and have a strong desire to succeed, surround yourself with like minded people (winners) and prevail under all adverse circumstances...be willing to sacrifice everything to be the best...your natural gift will lead you there.
believe in your higher power, have the ability to promote yourself...and most of all be true to your gift...
