When applying for a business job in sales or marketing what is generally more important, what school you got your degree at or what you studied for your degree?

In all my years, working in sales and marketing, I would say neither of those things. It's important that you have the skills and that's what your education is showing - great.

What a corporation wants in an employee is someone who has a strong work ethic (punctual to work and with deadlines) someone who is easy to work with (someone who can come up with ideas and can follow directions like a team player, even when his idea isn't chosen).

For Sales - you want to sell yourself. That tells a boss that you will do a good job selling his product. That you are likeable, people want to talk to you, can understand what you are saying and you are polite and knowledgeable. If your boss sees that in you at the interview, you could be lieing about the schooling and he would still hire you.

Your personality and / or portfolio first, because you won't do well in sales or marketing if you have no personality or talent.
WHAT you studied next, obviously it's better to know more marketing than say-accounting for the position you seek.
AND unless you went to Harvard Business School or some other impressive institute, WHERE you studied is not the real priority.
Present yourself and your resume professionally and well.
relax
Good Luck with that!
