I have a friend who is in a wheelchair and when he got married, his wife either pushed him around the dance floor or to keep him up his helper held him up on his feet and held him in the back and helped him move slowly. How badly is he in the wheelchair? Like is he able to move or even stand up? Other wise, it could be completely different, let me know, then I can help you out more, if you wish. I'am usually very good with figuring out things like this, because I work with the handi-capped.

Sounds like you a little worried. How do you dance any other time. That is how I would dance. Or get down on your knees and just hold eachother. You could also set in his lap. Besides the best part is when you look at eachother when your song is playing.

dance normally it dosent matter if he cant stand but if you want to be closer to him sit on his lap and have him move the chair a little or even if you want you could try getting a power chair for the day so the the moving would be much more effortless and you could share that holding tender moment the way you want to either way and even if you just sit on the dance floor and hold one another everyone including the two of you will understand the love and tenderness shown through just sitting there through an entire song and being close to one another besides its your day do as you wish!

Our daughter dated a paraplegic in extreme college. For slow dances, she sat on his lap and pushed them around together with her foot. for instant dances, the had exercises the place they held palms and he or she twirled into his arm, or he twirled in his chair, they confronted one yet another and twisted from area to area, she danced around him. They labored out their very own strikes. My college room mate's bride became in a wheelchair with the two legs in casts with the aid of fact of an vehicle twist of destiny. they only clowned around and had an stunning time. they are nevertheless married 40 5 yrs later. like the others have stated, see a professional dance instructor. you will desire to learn in a pair of instructions, and prepare, and function a number of relaxing. solid success.

It isn't the quality of the dance that matters, its the fact that it is your very special semi-private moment directly after you get married. My husband and I just kinda hugged and swayed in a circle. It was fine.

A dance is not manditory but I would suggest you talk to your fiance and sort it out with them. Who know maybe just holding hands and you leading will do.

I have seen a bride sit on the groom's lap and he wheeled them back and forth. It was really sweet.

He could hold you while you sway to the music or you could gently wheel him around while hugging him this way your special moment is shared amongst you both, equally.
