If it's been infected for TWO MONTHS, then I'd suggest taking the piercing out. Some people's bodies just can't handle that type of piercing. Do you really want to show up in Mexico with a red, crusty, oozy belly?
Alternatively, since you probably won't take it out, try honey. It is bacteriocidal and bacteriostatic. If honey doesn't work, you'd best get that crap out of your belly.
*thinking* What sort of material do you have in there? You may be allergic to the metal, you may want to try gold or titanium. Also, if the bar is too long (go ask a piercer) it constantly irritates it. The waistband of pants can irritate it too, and keep it infected. Consider that your clothing holds laundry soap, fabric softener, etc. You also have to keep it CLEAN, twice a day until it's healed. I tried wearing several different bars, but most are too long, and irritate the crap out of it. So I use only titanium rings now.

Bactine and neosporin - going to Mexico is a good thing for you because you can get medicine that will work without a prescription. Go to the Farmacia and show them and ask them for bactron. Or just show them and they will probably give you something. Don't be afraid to take the medicine, an infectionis very basic. BUT if you don't treat it and its starts to stink and get nasty and with puss you have a serious problem.
That other guy is very right about NOT getting in the ocean or even a pool, there is so much bacteria and some toliet really do just go straight into the sea water. Oh and ONLY drink bottled water!!!

If it is really infected it could get worse quick... worst case scenario you get sepsis (blood poisoning) - people have died from it after a piercing. See a doctor quick.
Getting serious medical treatment is Mexico is complicated and your probably not going to get as good a treatment as you would in the US.
It's better your parents find out about your piercing now than later when the infection gets worse. Infections under the skin can be very difficult to treat, because they can spread to other parts of the body.

Wash with antibacterial soap and make sure the soap gets inside. Rinse well. Then soak it in sea salt water for 10 minutes 2-4 times a day (A Nyquil cup is great for this). Do not use alcohol, peroxide or Neosporin (the later you can use for 3 days). And most important, if you are wearing a ring, remove it and replace it with a bar!! Preferrably curved. Mine NEVER got well, until I switched to a bar. Your clothing will be constanting pressing on and irritating a ring, whereas a bar will lie flat.

Remove the Ring, Get some DETTOL (or other good antibacterial wash [it should be alcohol based]) and put it on a face washer and gentally apply the antibacterial
You will need to do this on a regular basis (2 or 3 times a dar), if you have baths add a little salt but make sure u take a bottle of water with you because the salt whilst killing the bacteria will also rob you of water.

That's over 2 1/2 months and you still are infected? You really need an oral antibiotic, but if that's not an option you need to literally POUR alcohol alternating with hydrogen peroxide onto the infected area. Also apply Neosporin liberally. You must clean that area every day, and bandage it to keep other dirt and irritants out.

The previous answer was very helpfull, but just 'cleaning' it with peroxide is not quite the most efficient. Find a small plastic cap (similar to the cap from a small pump spray bottle) fill it with peroxide, lay down with the cap filled w/ peroxide over you belly button ... (yes, the complicated part is getting cap upside down on your belly button while still full of fluid) ... figure it out and lay soaking there for 10 minutes or so a couple times a day. Other wise a little anti-bacterial ointment ... I swear by this.

Clean the infection out with peroxide, but gently. Then get in the shower, let the water soften anything hardened onto the jewelry, and wash it carefully with anit-bacterial soap for a good thirty seconds making sure to move the jewelry around slowly while washing, then again while rinsing. After you get out, get a tiny dab of neosporin and apply to it, just enough to make it shiny and glistening, very light coating, and move it around to get some inside the piercing. Make sure that you shower and wash with anti-bacterial soap the same way every single day and try to keep your clothing from rubbing it too much.

i know you don't want to take it out, but if its infected you may have no choice. Try this Peroxide it will sting depending on how bad it is. Some people have such sensitive skin infection is inevidable. I have sixteen piercings and never had a problem, belive it or not I used This stuff from a mall chain called CLAIRS earpiercing. They sold a mild solution in a cream bottle w/ brown letters. It was awhile ago so i don't even know if the store is still around. Anyway... after the peroxide softens the stuck ring put neosporin on it and gently twist it so it gets inside the entire hole. Keep using it placing it directly on the ring and twist it around so it gets inside. When you start to see a major improvement keep doing the same routine, maybe even find a less harsh liquid to replace the peroxide. Try looking at ear piercing booths stores, they usually have non toxic liquids that works real well on a new piercing or sensitive one. If it's not clearing up fast enough, your best bet is to remove the ring while it is globbed with the neo so its slick and easy to take out with no pain. Replace the ring with a thick fish line, try to match the gauge of your jewelery. Keep medicating it as usuall don't take out the line(obviously you place the line in the hole and wait for it to come out the other end and tie it off so it can't come out. I'm telling you it worked for me. I did two peircings myself and didnt have the rite gauge to put in it so i didn't want it to shrink so i got clear fish line, keep up with the solution and neo and constantly twisted them back and forth. within a week i picked out what i wanted and had no problem inserting them. You gotta stay on top of pcings, from the beginning! sensitive skin especially. Some metals people have reactions to, so make sure you know what metals are safe for u.Alchohol is to harsh and drys it out, you can also try a home mixture of hot water and salt, let it cool and cotton sponge it on. This to will dry it out but it will help heal the infection faster. See what works best fro u but you dont wan't it to be dried out all the time because the slightest pull will rip it open and you will be back to square one.

This worked for me- Mix epson salts and very warm water together and dump it onto your belly button in the shower. Try to move the ring up and down a little while doing it to really get the salt in there. Try to do it twice a day. Also, use betadine if you can in conjunction with the salt. The salts will dry out the infections and the batadine will keep it clean.Wash out with well with warm water after using either the salts or the betadine.
