There is a difference between the validity of a visa and the stay granted by the officer at the port of entry. The visa is merely permission to apply for admission. As long as you do that during the period of validity of your visa, you are fine -- you will still get the full benefit of your stay. However, expect to get extra scrutiny at the port of entry as to why you did not get it renewed.

To follow up with the above comment, as long as the visa is valid, you should be granted entry and afforded the full length of time usually granted to B1/B2 visitors (6 months). Keep in mind the visa is what allows you to enter the U.S., but it is the I-94 card that determines the length of your authorized stay.

Yes, but you'll have to leave on or before the expiration date. The final determination is made by the immigration officer at the port of entry so it's not possible to make an absolute statement one way or another in this venue.
