I think the gest of your question is - If he's all that interested in me, why wouldn't he rush to phone me? The answer is that people who select web dating sites often are sort of shy. Let him take his time to get to know you better (by the way you are getting to know him too). Make up a list of questions that would be fun to answer but would also tell you things about him.
For example:
1. If you could do anything tonight - money is no object and there would be no consequences - what would you do?
2. Tell me about your family. What was a one of your favorite childhood memories.
It will foster give and take between you two. You will get a better idea about who he is and if there is anything there other than physical attraction.

if you found your soul-mate I think you would actually have seen him in the flesh. I went and looked at your profile, I don't think your soul-mate is in your near future. Maybe some therapy and a group meeting about internet addiction may help. Also I have 4 living children and 2 deceased and even if they told me never to talk to them I would still call them especially my daughter, she is my most challenging teen-adult but nothing NOTHING could stop me from saying happy birthday to my children and it does not cost anything. There are plenty of b-day, mother's day, and any other reason for appreciation day's that my kid's don't acknowledge to me but, I will always be there no matter who they choose in life they are MINE FOREVER TO LOVE nobody can take that from me. You only have 1 daughter there should be no bond stronger then a Mother-Daughter bond unless she has unresolved issues with you and her childhood and by your profile I would assume she doesn't want to talk to you. To find a soul mate one must have a profound encounter. This can not be done over e-mail. I would continue with the e-mails first and move along in this relationship slowly. Anything else and you may have a stalker on your hands. Take care and be safe.

You should be careful with guys on the internet. Don't put yourself in a position to find out the hard way. If you are certain that you wish to meet him, go with some friends and/or meet in a public place. How do you know that the picture of him is real? How do you know if his words are sincere? Do you know if he has a record of any kind. Don't be a statistic!!!

you can not find your soul mate online. at least not until you actually have some in-person conversations. people can present themselves all kinds of ways in writing. doesn't mean at all that they are who they come across as. and even on the phone, people can be very good actors. the only way to get to know someone is to REALLY get to know them. if he won't talk to you on the phone, then he's undoubtedly lying to you about something.

Technology is taking over, so finding the right persone can be done over the computer. But don't go around saying you've found your soulmate :P I don't trust those sites, you really don't know who he is. It might be possible he's a total freak, but knows what to say to lure in the ladies. I'd be careful.
