There are just so many stupid Christians. It's not that they simply don't know stuff (for we are all incredibly ignorant, there's no fault in not knowing something), but they refuse to learn or even to entertain the notion that there learning might actually make them understand Christianity better. Heck, they don't even read books written by *Christian* theologians and philosophers. Why are so many people so willingly stupid? It really reflects poorly on Christians who DO value education and knowledge, and on Christianity in general.

Now I don't want to say that all Christians are stupid. Far from it. Christianity is really one of the most subtle and insightful philosophies in existence. But many Christians aren't aware of this, nor do they care to learn.

Anything and anyone can be great if it is not for their misinformed, obnoxious, ignorant, arrogant, Judgmental people. Whether it be Jewish, Christians, Muslims, or any other. It is part of human side to be, or at least attempt to find the truth. What is the truth to one may appear as a group of obnoxious people who are oblivious of what is going on, unwilling to learn!
Then yet, are they! Don't generalize, it is unbecoming of a person who is asking others to learn more, and at the same time he himself is misinformed of others.
People are not willingly stupid, it could be that is all they know. All people. Are those Muslims who strap a bomb around their waist are clear of what their faith wants them to do! or are they doing what they have learned in their religion.
You are too kind, but don't worry about us we do get by. Christianity has lasted for two thousand years and it will survive. It was banished by the Romain's, the pagans, and many were persecuted, and it still found a way to come out.
Do you know that the Bible is the most read book of all time, past and present, it is published in many different languages all around the world.

All people who say they are Christians are not Christians. Some people might know the word, but if they don't practice what they preach. Well that destroys the witness. I have admit that I understand where you are comming from. Many older Christians (mainly men) give me a hard time b/c I'm a young Christian who knows the Bible. I get frustrated when they cut me off when I try to speak and treat me like I'm stupid. I'm not saying that I know everything, b/c I don't. I just want respect. Even with all that said, Christains are humans and we will make mistakes. That's why we know we need GOD. I believe as a Christian that GOD will never reach a point where He does not have to improve me. I will never be free from sin until the day I die. God bless.

You need serious help. To be that judgmental is really a waste of time. Not all Christians are stupid, and the ones that are are hypocrites. There is no need for crap like this on Yahoo. We do read books by Christians, and when we don't it is because we do not believe the same way they do. Please stop jumping to conclusions and stereotyping people.

Yes, and the world would be a better place if there weren't so many ignorant people unwiling to learn in it. Its not just christians its really people in general. Amazing really, but there must be intellignet people wanting to learn somewhere or I dont think we would exist today.

Yeah, I agree. I'm a christian and sometimes when I hear the pious, self-righteousness pouring out of other christian mouths I want to say, "Hey, you can't be in my club anymore" but there are stupids in every thing. What can u do?

I saw a t-shirt the other day that said "Jesus save me from your followers". I nearly doubled over with laughter.
So many so-called Christians have never even read the bible, while I, an agnostic, have read it twice, cover to cover. Half of them don't even know what's in their holy books.
