The Mayans did not predict the end of the world in 2012 any more than anyone ever prophesied the birth of the antichrist in 2006. Where are you getting this information?! Fiction isn't fact...it's FICTION.
The Mayans didn't complete their calendar past 2012. Perhaps they got tired...perhaps they ran out of materials...or perhaps it's one of 8 million other logical explanations.
A lot of the debate and lunacy over issues that don't matter in the long run (Da Vinci Code, anyone?...FICTION!) are because people take a theory that sounds plausible and, without any further ado or research, run with it like it's gospel. Don't be a sheep!
