I recently got a kitten about 3 weeks ago. My eyes get dry and itchy, but never red. I sometimes get a headache, is this headache part of the allergies?
If I keep the cat wouldn't I eventually build an immunity?
My friend has about 7-8 cats but I am never bothered by it. I'm wondering if this has anything to do with allergies...

When I'm around my friends cats it's not for an extended amount of time.. I've spent the night there and haven't been bothered (most of the time).

If it were the cat it probably would have happened in the first couple of days. I got my daughter 2 cats several years ago. We settled the cats in at home then left for the evening. When we got home I put the cats in a separate closed room for the night to keep them from meddling. In the morning my little girl woke up looking like a cross between the Michelin Man and the Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters. It may be something in the environment... don't know what region you live in but this time of year it could be grass pollens or certain flowers. You can go to an allergist and they can test you. After our incidents we had my daughter tested and turns out she was allergic to 16 things including cat dander.

When Someone is allergic to cats it is bc cats have a few variety of enzyme or whatever of their saliva that motives an hypersensitive reaction in a few men and women. When cats shower themselves, it will get on their fur and that is why men and women think they are allergic to cat fur. But really it isn't the fur in any respect, and no longer all animals have this distinct enzyme or anything it's of their saliva. I understand puppies dont and I do not believe bunnies do. I believe it'll simply be pussycats. It could be an intriguing area to Google.

The only way you are probably ever know for sure is to go to an allergist. They can give you a skin scratch test in less than an hour and they will tell you right then what you are allergic to.

If u aren't bothered by ur friends cats, then you are prob not allergic to yours. If you have an allergy, it may be something else causing it.
