For crying out loud, enjoy yourself. I smoke only sometimes (not addicted), and it's enjoyable. If we die because we smoked once in awhile, we will die at 80 instead of 85. Or, we could be taken out tomorrow in an accident and then what did it all mean? It's a question of quality vs. quantity of life. You might get some people out there saying that living on a respirator is not quality, but I really don't think we are in danger of that. There are bigger things in life to worry about than an occasional cigar.

My friend, there is one inalterable fact in this equation: nicotine is addicting. You may start out with a stogie 'every once in a while' but the intervals get shorter and shorter. And even 'every once in a while' deposits gunk in your lungs that you don't want there. If you're lifting weights, running or playing soccer, why jeopardize them for a stogie?

Excercising does not repair or prevent damage caused by the carcinogens introduced to the lungs. Though exercise will only help (somewhat) the heart and the negative effects smoking does to it. Everyonce and a while should not mean you will develope cancer, not even those who smoke constantly dies from cancer or even get it, but its a good, good chance a person who consistantly smokes will develope it. Heart disease is what kills most smokes to be clear. Either way, it is an indulgence that you choose to partake, just be aware all have their drawbacks.

Yes. Every cigar you smoke will take AT LEAST five minutes off your life. Proven. It's great that you excersice, but smoking contributes to lung cancer and many, many other life threatening diseases. Its not worth it to risk your life for a couple of cigars. As a cartoon once said, "Would if fit your schedule have time free because you are not smoking, or to be dead 24 hours a day?"

If you keep a healthy lifestyle I see no reason why you cannot indulge in a cigar or two every now and then just do it in moderation as with everything else-

Dude, smoking a cigar every month or two is not going to affect you. In fact it probably is relaxing which reduces stress which is good for you. Fire up that cigar!!!

There was a health study that said every minute you spend smoking shortens your life. Don't smoke. It isn't healthy for you or the people around you.
