Blasphemy all depends on what faith you are and what faith someone else is.

Look in Bible. Book of Matthew 12:31 (all matter of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men) book of Mark 7:22, Book of John 10:33, book of Isaiah 37:3. these are just a few.

Blasphemy basically means being disrespectful.
In the religious world it means saying anything against The Lord.
I believe you can be forgiven. If you are sincere, all you need to do is ask for forgiveness. Blasphemy takes place throughout the Bible, it starts in Genesis with the serpent lying to Eve.

in Rev. 13:6 blasphemy is described as words that are against God. Jesus said that all sins shall be forgiven unto men but the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven unto men.
Matthew 12:3. Against the Holy Spirit there will be no forgiveness.

Blasphemy is speech, thought, or action involving contempt for God or the Church, or persons or things dedicated to God.

Blasphemy is directly opposed to the second commandment.

Blasphemy against the Spirit (Matthew 12:31) is the sin of attributing to Satan (Matthew 12:24) what is the work of the Spirit of God (Matthew 12:28).

Blasphemy is from the Greek word blasphemia, which literally means to speak harm. From a religious point of view, it generally means the utmost disrespect or defiance toward God. Blasphemy has been known throughout Bible History, however Prophecy speaks loud and clear that the greatest blasphemy that the world will ever know is yet to occur. And say to the people of Israel, Whoever curses his God shall bear his sin. He who blasphemes The Name of The Lord shall be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him; the sojourner as well as the native, when he blasphemes The Name, shall be put to death." (Leviticus 24:15-16 RSV) [see The Ten Commandments and The Ten Commandments Now?]
Blasphemy By Ignorance Is Forgivable;
Blasphemy When One Knows Better Is Unforgivable

"I thank Him Who has given me strength for this, Christ Jesus our Lord, because He judged me faithful by appointing me to His service, though I formerly blasphemed and persecuted and insulted Him; but I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus." (1 Timothy 1:12-14 RSV) [see On The Road To Damascus and Paul's Mirror]

"And every one who speaks a word against the Son of man will be forgiven; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven." (Luke 12:10 RSV)

Truly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter; but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin" - for they had said, "He has an unclean spirit." (Mark 3:28-30 RSV) [see The Unpardonable Sin]

The dictionary defines blasphemy as...something done or said that shows disrespect for God or sacred things. Here's a reference from the Holy Bible...Exodus 20:7 "You shall not take the name of Yahweh your God in vain, for Yahweh will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain. And here's one more...James 5:12 But above all things, my brothers, don't swear, neither by heaven, nor by the earth, nor by any other oath; but let your "yes" be "yes," and your "no," "no;" so that you don't fall into hypocrisy.

Blasphemy is saying something out loud, that goes against everything everyone around you is all about.

For instance, if you were around a bunch of vegetarian people and said: "Lets fire up the Bar-B-Que! I have a trunk full of Pork Ribs I can't wait to sink my teeth into!" that would be an example of blasphemy.

It means to betray what everyone is working towards with your words.
