I have really fine hair especially in the crown area. The crown area has cowlicks so my hair grows in all different directions. I have asked a couple of hairdressers what can I do - and they just tell me 'no offense, but you just have really crappy hair'. My hair is shoulder length with layers, and I straighten it because my hair is wavy and I can't wear it wavy because it is so flat on the top that I just look ugly. What can I do to feel pretty? I can't afford hair extensions and I 'm not even sure that they would work. Please help!

the best way is to tease the top part of your hair with a fine teeth comb and then fluff it up with some hair spray....screw those hair dressers, theyre crappy themselves

What kind of products are you using any volumizers?? I recomend cocky from bed head and mix in a little mouse...and round brush it with a med brush. When you blowdry, on top, go straight up blow hot heat on it then use the cool button...the cool will set your curl to give you lots of volume...Big sexy hair products work well also

check it out. when you use hair spray use the bottle like a roller and put it on the base of the section of hair you have in your hand and push away from you. or you can just stick a pompadoor on top. in a pony tail with it the rest of the hair curled.

what rude hair dressers! anyway, try flipping your head upside down and blowdry your hair towards the ground (away from your head) and fluff it out with your hands while youre doing it...give it a little spray with a flexible hold hair spray and flip your head back up. let me know how it works!

OK... use hairspray... spray it directly on the brush... brush your hair, and then zig-zag your fingers through it... it makes it have a sexy, yet professional look... so it can be worn anywhere
