That is possible. I was able to burn 1,300 calories at the gym yesterday and I felt GREAT. I rode the elliptical Trainer for 60 minutes and burned 800 calories and then walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes and burned 200 calories, Afterwards I hopped back on the elliptical and burned an additional 300 calories in 20 minutes. I came home from the gym and was 4 lbs. lighter. Mainly water weight. But, I felt awesome. Drink PLENTY of water afterwards so you will not get dehydrated.

You can burn alot of calories lifting some weights at your local fitness center because those muscles need energy. Not to heavy or you will get bulky. But also, if you walk on a treadmill or even go for a walk for 30-45 minutes, you can burn calories too. The important thing to remember is when you exercise, especially when you do cardio, you are burning calories even way after you stop.

That's way too much. You probably don't need to go over say 750 in one workout session.

The best way to burn calories working out is to do weights. You get double bonus because you burn while you're working out and then you burn afterwards while your muscles are repairing.

Oh and the person that said 500 calories per pound is wrong. it's 3500 calories per pound of fat. The 500 is the per day calorie deficit you need to burn a pound a week.

That's crazy! Do you realize how many calories that is to burn? A hard 30 minute work out on an elliptical machine only burns about 300.

That's crazy. 500 calories equals one pound of body fat. That would mean losing 2-3 lbs a day, which is unsafe and you'll most likely gain it back. The healthy amount of weight to lose is about 2-3 lbs a week! Reduce your caloric intake to an appropriate amount based on your height and weight, then start an exercise program. Consult your doctor for a healthy weight loss program.

You will probably have to exercise for 8 hours. And that is really dangerous. You don't have to burn off everything you eat because you natural metabolism will burn most of it. So ease up on yourself!!
