I mean there are some cars that refuse to wait their turn and will speed up to the front and try to squeeze in front of the person there. If I am in that spot, I don't let them in. Am I supposed to? If I am to let people in, how many is too many?

People like that tend to tick me off too. But I try not to stoop to their level. I let them in, in hopes that they will see that I made a better judgment call than they did. Of course, some people just don't care at all. Unfortunately...

I believe that the lane that ends is supposed to find a way to merge before the lane ends. If you are in slow or stand still traffic, then common courtesy goes every other car goes. So you would let one in then the guy behind you would let one in. This is where road rage comes into play everyone is in such a hurry all the time. Anyway, I knew it's frustrating, but it really doesn't make us any later to let one person in front of us. Good Luck

There's a road that I drive on frequently where this happens. It seems to be the general practice there that people sort of take turns (i.e. a person from the left goes, then a person from the right, and so on). I think if you are in the lane that continues on, you kind of have the priority. Nevertheless, sometimes it's better to be accident-free than to be right!

There really is no correct answer to this, except for making sure that your driving conduct helps to ensure "safety on the road." If the rude car that refused to wait his turn and sped up to the front was near me, I wouldn't let him in unless it meant running him or someone else off the road. As far as letting people in, let one in then get on down the road. Hopefully others will follow suit and things will progress.
