It's not impossible, but why would you want to try to recall those memories? Would it change the person you have become? All I can see it doing is causing you pain. I would chalk it up as just a weird dream you had because you used to have a crush on him. And, if you were six when he moved way, maybe your recollection of how and why he moved are a little blurry. Would you even really know if he had moved away in a "panic?"

Your mom allowed a man to babysit you when you were 6 (my mind is reeling)---
As a 6 yr. old you had a crush on an older guy --- then you say you remember him moving away in a panic --- you sure were very observant and mature at such a young age --- or did you make these deductions as you got older? --- combined with your home life it's possible that you are mixing up facts ( you said your mom was into parties) her bad habits and "friends" could be other influences for such dreams.
Regardless of what did or didn't happen I hope you are getting therapy and dealing with these issues so you can have a good life and make wise decisions in your future.

We sometimes have dreams that seem so real until we begin to believe that they happened for real often they are just that Dreams. It is also possible that you were molested as a child or you wished that it did happen because of the crush that you had on your neighbor. If it is causing you to suffer in some way then seek help but if is not killing you it will only make you stronger. live well and you will outgrow this feeling. linger and it will pull you into a pit and crush you.

I'm sorry to tell you that i think it's very possible. My sister was allegedly molested- by the schoolbus driver; all the other kids testified, and he had prior pedophile convictions with Boy Scouts, also when my mom looks back, she remembers things that could have been signs of abuse, so it probably did happen, sadly, to her, but she has no conscious recollection at all. She also was 6,7,8 years old (it happened over a period of time). Have you tried therapy? I think you might have a lot to gain from it. Good luck. Feel free to email me if you want to.

Do you have flashbacks of anything?
It's hard to say that dreams reflect the truth. They may represent something else in your life.
It's tough trying to put the puzzle pieces of your life together without putting a piece in the wrong place. You create a completely different picture than what really happened.
If you haven't already, please visit a therapist and talk about what you're feeling. They are more qualified to answer the questions you're asking.

It's very possible that that happened. If you're having dreams of it, it might be because your subconscious locked those events away. If you really want to unearth the truth see if you can go to a hynotherapist and get hypnotized. They'll be able to help you access past memories that you may or may not have blocked out.

I would think you need to see a doctor who deals in that. How old are you now?Was this years ago?If it was a very long time ago I would think its a little unusual to be dreaming of a man that you knew when you were so young. If it really worries you talk to your mother about the neighbor, what kind of man was he and get her feel on the person. You don`t have to tell her what you think happened just ask about him in general and also why she trusted him to take care of you.I wish you luck.

That same thing happened to my niece by her stepfather, when she was eleven. Her stepfather's in prison for the next nine years now, for sexually molesting and assaulting one of his stepchildren-- with another charge pending on her sister, the one mentioned in the beginning of this answer.
She had a dream about being shocked by metallic objects when she touched them, and her memories of the incident came back, somewhat against her will. However, it will just add more time to her (their) stepfather's sentence in Utah's Men's Prison.

It theoretically is possible, but you have to put other things into the equation. Could he have sneaked into your house at night unnoticed while molesting you and then leave undetected? He could have moved in a hurry for another reason.

I always had the feeling my father molested me. But I don't remember a damn thing. My sister feels the same way. You don't pull these feelings out of your a$s. They had to come from somewhere. If you feel you were, you probably were. But unless you want to relive everything again (through therapy) I would just forget about it.
