Why don't you tell them the truth? One lie will just lead to another.

Not that you should lie and I am sure hopeing that this accident has scared you enough that you will never ever drink and drive again, however my suggestion is that you should say you had the car parked somewhere and someone must have hit it when you were inside, also remember you didn't see who hit you and make sure to cover all your tracks like not to say you were parked in front of somewhere they have cameras just in case your parents try to make a police report also make sure there could be no possible witnesses. Well good luck with all that and keep in mind that most lies usually end up sufacing sometime, even if it's years later.

I'm glad that you recognize that you did a very bad thing. I'm also hoping you are telling the truth when you say you will never do it again. God was good to you in letting you hit a cone in place of a child or other person--you learned an important lesson without having to learn it the "hard" way. Let your conscience be your guide in explaining this to your parents. You know them better than anyone.

First off you should not drive drunk. You should be so grateful that you didn't really get hurt or worse yet hurt someone else. If you know someone with a garage, you could say you were backing out of the garage and hit it. You could also say that you pulled to close at a drive up window, or just say you were parked in a parking lot and came out and someone must have hit you. I do hope that you have learned you lesson and willnever drive drunk again.

Tell them you were driving home, minding your own business, and suddenly a cone came out of nowhere and ripped off the side view mirror. Hey...it could've happened...lol. If you're usually honest with them, they might buy it. OR...just dummy up and say you have no idea what happened to the mirror & didn't even notice it was gone. But don't say one word until you're asked. I concur with the others...please don't drink & drive.

I do not condone lying or drunk driving!!! But tell them that you were parked and when you came out the car was like that, so someone must have sideswiped you! That's the best I can come up with!!!

Edit-The honest people are messin with my conscience. Maybe you should just tell your parents the truth, and omit the drunk part. And never EVER drive drunk again!!!!

Keep it as easy as possible. You hit a cone. Someone had already hit a cone and it was in the road. You didn't notice the one cone sticking out and it ripped the mirror off.

The truth is the best. Although if you chose to lie a good one to tell would be I didn't even notice. What do you mean the mirrors been ripped of the car. I honestly don't know what happened.
Then after your done playing dumb pray that you don't go to hell for lying.

The truth is always the best way to handle things. I was always the "unlucky" kid. You know...the one that would lie and then get caught because someone ratted or just blurted it out. Once you lie about it, you find yourself in a deeper hole than what you would have been in in the first place. Don't lie....you play, you pay....I know if you were my child, I would appreciate the truth much more and would be able to deal with it rather than you lie and get found out later. Good luck, and please keep that promise!

Why not the truth? It will make you life easier in the end. Give it some thought!

Oh and don't drive drunk, its the dumbest thing in the world. My friends sister got killed by a drunk driver. Think about your actions, and take some responsibility.

I hope that you are honest in saying that you will never do that again.

That same thing happened to me when I wasn't drunk, so just tell the truth (except for the drunk part).
