Boxers!!
They are gentle, easy going, obedient (when trained properly) and loving. They make perfect family pets and love children.
We have had 2 Boxers as family members. Unfortunately one passed away of cancer 3yrs ago, so we decided to begin to foster them for a rescue organization.
After fostering several dogs over 3yrs, we fostered our current Boxer, Nero. We fell in love with him instantly, He is the perfect example of all of the great things that a Boxer can bring to your life. Not only does he have an incredibly gentle spirit but he also has an amazing sense of compassion. He just knows when you have had or are having a bad day and gives you an extra special amount of love and attention then. He has yet to meet a person or animal he didn't want to becomes instant friends with.
Their are other breeds that I love also. Such as Min Pin's, Chihuahua's, Bull Mastiff's, Great Danes and Shelties as I grew up with one as a child.
There is the perfect breed of dog out there for everyone, from pure breeds to Heinz 57's. Having a dog in your life just makes everything better.

My favourite kind of dog would be my Heinz 57 - Annie. She's a bit of lab, a bit of dachshund, a bit of Cockier Spaniel - and my best friend in the whole wide world BUT if I'd have to pick a purebred dog, it would have to be a Papillon (a.k.a. Butterfly Dogs). They are so cute, with their butterfly ears. I am thinking of getting one even though I don't believe in buying dogs. There are so many dogs who die in custody of the Humane Society. They end of alone, and end up being euthanized. Sad. So, that's where I usually get my dogs from and they end up being the best dogs ever!!
But I really want a Papillon...hmm...what to do? Oh well...

I like dogs of any kind too.
However, since we have Nemo, the Dachshund and Mickey, the Doberman-Rottweiler mix then these two are my most favorites.
Am I being biased? I just love them as every pet owners and would never trade them for a "better" breed.

Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Have two, a male and a female. I have adopted several other breeds, but this one is the very best as a companion dog.

I'm not a dog person but my husband now has a Red Husky that I rescued 11 years ago and that dog is a wonderful dog too but, I'm really a cat person and my cat and my husbands dog are good friends.
So maybe I am a bit of a dog person now but please don't tell anyone because everyone knows me for being a cat person.
