Hi Kayla, My best advise is to ask your Mom (Grandma) if the two of you could go together to a salon and TALK to someone who could give you advise on how it could be done. This might help her understand that many others your age are changing their hair. Highlighting may be a good compromise
I don't know what color your natural hair is, but when you lighten your hair, it can't be done on a temporary basis. Also, depending on your type if hair, you could really damage it if you don't know what you're doing.
It may be easier to ask forgiveness then get permission, put it will also make your Mom much more angry and harder for you to get anywhere with other things you want.

Don't worry about dying your hair now. Just wait about 50 years and it will be that color all by itself. Mine is. I use dye to cover it so I won't look like an old fuddy duddy. Keeping the roots from showing is a REAL JOB too..... Maybe she would let you highlight it.. If not now perhaps in 3 or 4 years. PS. Hair color doesn't make pretty....actions do....

First you cant lie. Second, if you are going to bleach your hair to get the color you want, it's going to totally kill our hair. You cant style it like you can virgin hair (hair that hasnt been chemicicaly messed with) for example. if you try to curl it, you need a crap load of hair spray to make it stay. It breaks more easily, and it when you jump into chlorinated water, it turns green. so think twice. you are only 13. try highlights, or even low lights. and if you described the color you want as "trampy" then thats what other people are going to think of you.

Well maybe try to slow her into it. Get Color pulse by Loreal find it at Wall mart in the hair dye section. Now from the cartoon picture it looks like you have brown/reddish hair which means you can't use the blonde color cause it won't work. Try copper blast, red pulse, red copper spritz, iced coffee(gives a hint of red, lively auburn(I have that in my hair now its a dark Brown/dark red color)funky cherry or chilled plum, electric black. They wash out in 8-10 shampoos but it takes longer on me. It works & takes about 45min and smells great too. I really hope I helped. =)

Hey, I'm 13 2 and here is how I colored my hair blond:
I told my mom that I was going to get a new haircut and that at the hairstyle place by mistake they colored my hair blond.
She was still mad, but any way. Try to gotto your friend's house and then go with your friend to hair style place and then color ur hair. Try wearing hats after that, so ur grandma/mom wion't see it. I don't no.

dont do it! I was 13 when i first dyed my hair and i have regretted it since...for 10years i havent seen my natural hair color (which is blonde) but my hair is growing back a really weird brown color from all the coloring over the years.

if you are going to dye your hair, dont bleach it!! choose another color, bleaching really wrecks your hair. trust me sweetie i been bleaching my hair for years, and as a hairdresser i should know better, but i didnt listen to the "hairdressing rules" and my hair is just really damaged....

at least wait a few years

Get a second opinion from a grown up as to whether or not that color would look good on you. If other people think it is a good idea, your grandma might listen.

Well your grandma will probably never let you. coming from a person who was a rebellious teenager, just do it and surprise her. She may love it, or she may hate it. You don't have to live with it for the rest of your life and neither does she. She'll still love you, and you are not your mom.

I was 13 once too and i wanted to highlight my hair and my mom had said no and i was very mad but to tell you the truth, im happy now that my mom said no and i didn't do it. Don't do it now, trust me. your hair will be damaged later on and it'll look bad. when you turn 16, thats when its more normal for teenage girls to highlight their hair. Don't rush, be happy with your hair color.

well tell her it doesn't cost. No seriously it doesn't you can use home ingredients.

# 1. Peroxide!
# 2. Food mayonnaise
# 3. Hair shampoo and conditioner

First put the peroxide over your head and then leave it on for about 30 minutes,{nothing will happen if longer}

Second put {food} mayonnaise} in your hair. It's for it to be smooth and straight and plus your hair grows too!

Third use the shampoo and conditioner and towel bloth lightly and "TADAA!"
