Do what she asks of you as best you can, remind her that he is still alive and it's his choice where he wants to live and when she does bring it up to him offer it to him as a choice. If these are his final days she should want him to be as happy and comfortable as possible. Tell her that if she wants to be close to him then she should consider moving down there If he should die all you can do is be there, nothing you say will ever make it better. Listen when she talks and hold her when she cries, actions always speak louder then words. Knowing that you are there for her like that is the best thing you can really do for her.

I don't know anything about this group "angels at work."

While good treatments help prolong life and improve the quality of life while the person is around, cancer that has spread through the entire body is not going to ever go away completely.

I attended a service tonight for someone dear to me: she was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer at 31. She fought for two and a half years...until last Friday. I will search the internet for your resident's son's sake, but my recommendation is to encourage this person to live life to the fullest allow the transition to happen...

There is not much one can say to someone whose child has cancer. You can be by her side and let her talk about it when and if she wants to. It's hard to understand unless you have been through it yourself, as I have. No one wants to believe they will bury their child, but trust me, it happens. The comfort of friends is the best help that I know. Nothing will make it easier. May God bless the boy and his Mom. May he also bless you for caring. Good luck.

She needs to talk to professionals. A teaching hospital in a big city would probably be the best place for him. I think that would more likely to be florida than some small town in south carolina.

My husband had cancer. She needs to be there for her son. Let her get another opinion and tell her she needs to be there for him, to support him in every way she can. He will be ok no matter what happens. Good luck and God Bless.

Find a way to help her through this sad time. It's espically hard for anyone to lose a child. Do what you can to help her.

I think your crossing the line of profession when you googling for her. I think the best thing you can do is politely listen.

This sounds like he is terminal. You are not going to be able to change her mind. She has an idea in her head to save him.
