Because the idea is that we don't want illegal immigrants. The immigrants will try to come illegally if there are jobs. The employers break the law only, currently, if they don't ask for certain documents or know the illegal is illegal. Going forward, the documents would be better and would tap into a database which would say if that person was OK to work.
Employers are the ones who profit off cheap illegal immigrant labor. We want to make it less profitable for them. Also, if they don't hire, the illegals who want jobs won't come. (We hope.)
The strain is on schools etc. and the middle and upper classes pay for the services to the poor, regardless of whether the poor pay taxes.
That is why they should be prosecuted.

Well, just a post or two ago, you said you are anti-illegal immigration. If that is the case, then you should be able to figure out that if employers were to stop hiring illegal immigrants, this would stem the incentive for illegal immigrants to come over the border and would actually motivate them to apply through the proper avenues for work visas. So, this would actually be in the best interests of immigrants, as well as to the general citizenship of the USA.

Why doesn't anyone understand this? Illegal means ILLEGAL. It is AGAINST THE LAW. That is why. Whats so hard to understand? If a person from Australia or Canada does something illeagal against the the immigration laws they are sent home. ILLEGAL means AGAINST the LAW. Employers SHOULD be prosecuted because they are breaking the law.

properly pronounced. till this united states of america completely cracks down on the human beings who hire the illegals, no longer something will take place to stop it. think of whenever you shop at Wal-mart you're tacitly helping unlawful immigration. Wal-mart and a important sort of different mutlinational BILLION dollar firms "subcontract" illegals via smaller phantom firms that are crammed with unlawful immigrants. They pay those phantom companies say or 10 money an hour according to worker. those phantom organization vendors then pay the illegals say 2 hundred money each week (5 an hour) and shop whats left. Doesnt appear like plenty. yet, in case you very own a organization and function a hundred illegals working for you who're basically making 5 money an hour and you have become pocketing the different 5 meaning you're making 500 money an hour. hire some legal workers and pay them to close up. Now you have "Jimmy's forklift and movers." your organization racks in 1000 money an hour from walmart. 500 is going to the illegals. 50 an hour is going to 4 valid workers. you're pocketing 3 hundred an hour. some creative accounting and you appear like a valid small organization. it is how Wal-mart, McDonalds, Cargill and the likes screw united statesa..

Some do steal the SSN of legal residents and therefore pay taxes. MOST DO NOT.
Employers currently could find out - if they really try - whether or not those they hire are here legally. Soon they will know for sure when they are required to check in a national computerized database. Then they will have no excuse.
There are rules to follow when conducting business. Follow the rules or suffer the consequences. Plain and simple.

Because the US abolished slavery already. And these greedy employers make these poor illegal immigrants work as modern day slaves. Illegal immigrants do pay sales taxes. They could pay payroll taxes with falsify ID or someone else SSN. They sure don't make enough to pay federal or state income taxes.

because illegal aliens do not pay taxes. any sales tax they pay is irrelevant, as everyone pays them, including LEGAL visitors from other countries, whneever they buy things. illegals suck billions in taxpayer benefits without contributing anything. also, their so called anchor babies are NOT us citizens. the 14th amendment specificly denies this privlege to aliens and diplomats. i'm sure you are aware of the fact that tens of thousands of international diplomats are in the US all the time, and most of them are here for years, even decades, and they have families, their children being born here, but NO ONE pretends those children are US citizens. try reading the congressional record from 1867, during the ratification debates. it is there for everyone to read.

Because it is against the law. If the people of United States are unlawful what is the point. Does the love of money give you right to break the law. Is this what you teach your children, while our soldiers are fighting and dying for your right to be a cheat? Death of outrage!!!!!!!!!!!
