Any comment whatsoever seems to feed the sick ego of these wackos, so I say we all stick together and stop commenting/answering in any way, shape or form.

You could've started with mine. Too late now though, nana.

I have been. By responding to them in any way (even reporting) we are basically saying that they have won, that they have succeeded in getting under our skin. Even reporting them is a waste of time. For one thing I have seen posts where people have bragged about the number of violations they have received as if they were a badge of honor. Secondly, the worst thing that happens is that after so many violations the violator's account is suspended. All he or she does after this is create a new one. Lastly, the Yahoo Answers Team is swamped with abuse reports, some of them legitimate and others frivolous. For the past month, I put twelve questions that were obvious violations on my watch list to see how fast they get deleted. Only three of the 12 were deleted. I refuse to let words typed by a coward hidden behind a computer screen get the best of me. The rest of you should think the same way.

Not me...
if you don't like what you see, its as easy as pressing the "Back" button on the browser. Censorship is already overkill in the United States (where I am) and I don't want to make it any worse.
Besides, its really hard to tell who's genuinely asking a question and who's just being a jackass. Sometimes people are genuinely wondering about something but only know how to express it one way, which may seem crude. If somebody posts something sick and you don't like it or find it funny, then you should just leave. If you're worried about the kids, don't worry about them - they're gonna learn it, whether its here or somewhere else. There's really no stopping that. Its not like putting your hands over your eyes and covering your ears is going to make it go away. If you report one and get rid of him, another one is going to pop up later on that day. Its a totally pointless campaign to report people, but no so pointless to just not answer.

Well you had to bring it up again didn't you. I say, no. This is supposed to be a place to get answers to any question. As long as no one is getting too terrible leave them alone. You have the right and the ability to ignore or comment on anything you please. If it bothers you too much then find another way to spend your time.

Count me in, I just report them and leave a sweet little comment as an answer. Wish Yahoo would get on the ball and fix it.

I try not to answer most. Sometimes I cave and post a response. Normally I just click report though. If more people would do that, we would see a decline.

As others have stated I report them and hope that Yahoo answers will cut them off.

I report those that are blatently designed to provoke, but sometimes you can't help giving a snotty answer in return.

NO WAY. I'm much to sophisticated and uhh...sexy for such doings. I shall not retread down to your level regarding such a childish matter.

It's called free speech.

Stupid, but still, free.

And It's fun tormenting the racists.
