If so, do you believe they are worth following, and to what extent?

IE: If a Saint told you to throw your holy books in the trash, would you?

I am Catholic but i was not raised too strictly, sometimes i make my own beliefs. in my opinion there are lots of people out there that fit the word "saint" who are working, in a quiet way or not, to help others selflessly, and in turn bring out the good in others.

You should never do anything people tell you that goes against God's Word. Are there saints living today? The answer is yes.
If you have trusted in what the Lord Jesus Christ did for you on the cross then you are a saint. He died for your sins, He was buried and took your sins away and rose again the third day for your justification. Just because people tell you they are a saint don't believe them until you check them. The Apostle Paul writes to the saint in the church. Don't believe that good works make you a saint. It what the Lord Jesus Christ did for you that makes you a saint. Philippians 1:1 Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:

Saints as the catholics know are holy dead people whose spiritsare already in heaven. Dont you know that in the bible, the saints are alive? They became saints through the sanctification of the Holy Spirit and sprinkling of blood of Jesus I Peter 1:2 not by the cannonization in the Rome. Saints or in other term, Christian really do exist today. For they believe, follow , and live the word of God.

I don't think you even know what a saint is. You're thinking in terms of Roman Catholic hogwash.

SAINTS are believers. Pure and simple and it does not depend on the Pope to appoint who believers are. Saints do not perform miracles - God does.

There are pretend saints who preach who would tell others lies and perhaps order their followers to throw away their Bibles - but they aren't believers in anything but their own power over people.

In the Bible - it refers to the Saints as the living and the dead, contrary to the Catholic teachings. Read the Last chapter of Daniel and Revelation chapter 13.

God has called each one of us to be Saints. Yes I do believe there are many living Saints today, we just don't know them as Saints yet.

I think the term "saint" is used to mean the spirit of a dead person who had been faithful to God when alive. Despite the contradiction, the term "living saint," I think, is used to CHARACTERIZE a person who lives a highly virtuous life. Mother Theresa of Calcutta was one, and you wouldn't deny her of her good works, would you? As far as I've heard, they don't go around telling people what to do with their holy books, more so with their lives. Peace.
