If his girlfriend really likes him and accepts him for who he is, then he should NOT hold it in.. He has to be himself and natural. Whatever feels right, he shouldn't be afraid of her reaction. If he is scared then maybe she's not the right girl for him??

I always like it when a guy can cry in front of me. When a man cries it shows that he has emotions and he is man enough to show them. There is nothing wrong with a man crying. Holding in emotions is not a healthy thing to do.

A guy should be able to show his emotions the same way a girl does. If a guy feels that he needs to cry in front of his gf, then she should be extra-willing to comfort and love on him! Once when my fiance cried in front of me, it made me feel very good to just hug him and talk it out with him.

It depends on what the situation is. I feel as a male I need to control my emotions and be strong in front of my GF. If it is something that is just upsetting me it might be ok but if it is upsetting both of us I feel I need to be strong and not cry. Crying is a sign of weakness.

I think it is always best to share your feelings with your mate whether it is crying or any other emotions the most important aspect of a relationship if that you feel comfortable enough in it to share those emotions with them. Not good to hold any emotions in they just fester and turn into worse stronger emotions and that is not good for a relationship at all.

Why can't he cry? Does he put you down for crying? Does he totally ignore you? If he wants to cry, let him cry. Holding crap like that in only makes the matter worse.

If you can't be open and vulnerable in front of your girlfriend, then you have no chance of having a trusting relationship. In other words, cry and share your feelings.

I don't think there is anything wrong with showing some emotion, especially if you're feeling down or upset. Your girlfriend obviously cares about you and it's probably not healthy to hold it in.

I wouldn't want a guy that bursts into tears constantly, but sometimes, I think it takes a bigger man to cry than not cry.
