My little boy had eczema on his cheeks. I was not sure what method to use but I didn't want to make my boy go through any surgery treatments at this young age. Some suggested a plastic surgeon since it was in a very visible location but our family doctor recommend this natural guide.

BLEACH??!!! Are you kidding ? (inresponse to previous response) That is harsh and thats the last thing normal skin needs let alone skin w/ eczema. If the skin is broken OUCH! I know you asked for non perscription but the only thing that has ever worked for me is TEMOVATE ointment by wellcome. and lots of moisturizer ( I dont like eucerin it is too sticky and stinky) I use CUREL IT WORKS GREAT. GOOD LUCK P.s Oh yeah and by the way Tee tree oil is very drying it is only for oily skin and at that should only be used once a week

My daughter has a severe case of ezcema. Right now I use MSM Lotion, Tea Tree Oil soap, Eucerin Cream, and 1/2 cup of bleach in her bath water.
You also may want to think about help treating the ezcema from within your body by taking Evening Primose Oil supplements & drinking Aloe Vera juice.

I use creams that have zinc and silver in them, cover the area with a sterile pad or guaze and apply the creams all over the patches over night. You can use anti itch creams in the daytime. Sometimes it takes a prescription cream to get rid of a bad patch, Lidex works good.

Skin bacteria control responds well to foods like raw yogurt or buttermilk. The skin needs a detergent like soap to kill germs and your pillow needs sulfur powder on it or even just salt. Summer usually gives us more sunshine to kill the bacteria. once the germs are gone the skin will heal itself.
