Jesus died a long time ago, and think about how hard it is to get the truth about JFK assasination, and that was only 40 years ago. We don't know much about what happened back then.
Christianity is different peoples' different guesses as to what Jesus would have us do now. Simply guesses.
And think about the last days of your grandparents and perhaps your parents (if they're no longer with us), your last days will probably be very much the same.
