Temptation is NOT a sin - remember, even Jesus was tempted.
However, it is a sin to act out sinful stuff in your mind if your not doing it cause your planning something. For example, if your thinking about doing something wrong, that's OK if your weighing your options, but if you keep having sex fantasies about someone - that's a sin. Or thinking about actually killing someone (and in your thoughts you commit the actual murder) that is also a sin.
So yes, your imagination can be guilty of commiting a sin, but only if you actually act out the sin in your mind.

No,thinking about the sin is not a sin. What you need to do is repent and ask for God's strength to keep you from dwelling on it. Thinking sin can lead to sin. Is is said 'that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.'
The reward of sin is death(spiritual),the reward of righteous is life everlasting.
All sins are against yourself but the sin of sleeping with someone outside of marriage. This is a sin against God because God dwells in you and you have been purchased with the blood of Christ.

No, it isn't. To commit a sin you actually have to perform the action. Thinking about a sin is not wrong as long as you understand that performing what you've though isn't appropriate

In a Christian sense? YES, I forgot the term but it is not as bad as actually doing it. Impure thoughts lead to sin.
