Ringworm is a fungus and it can be transmitted from dog to human.
It is treatable and everyone will be just fine.
Get your dog to the vet and have it treated for it's ailments and worms.
Take your child to the doctor to confirm that it is ringworm. You can get a prescription for a topical cream, or use an over the counter anti-fungal one.
I've never had ringworm, but a friend did. Her doctor gave her samples of the prescription because she did not have insurance. She put the cream on, and covered it with a band-aid so she could go to work...although she wasn't supposed to do that! Anyway, it was gone in about 2 weeks.

Yes he could have if he has ring worm, but the vet would need to do a fungal test to tell positively if you pet has this parasite. Yes certain parasites like ringworm and tapeworm are zoological (meaning transferable from animal to human) Your son should be seen by his pediatrician as well for medication for the parasite so it doesn't spread or cause complications due to his young age.

Ringworm is a fungal infection that is very contagious to people and other animals. Usually people with weak immune systems are more likely to catch it. If you put an anti-fungal cream like athlete's foot cream on your son it could help to prevent spread of the infection. Sometimes the infection can get really bad. You should probably consult your pediatrician.

It is possiable. He could have gotten it from another kid or from the soil. It is not a worm, it is a fungus and it is common in the soil and common among kids. The dog can get it from the kid.
The dog shouldn't be sick from ringworm. It is a skin condition.

Yes, dogs can infect humans with ring worm. I think they can even infect heart worms and that is worse. There was a special or news show a couple of weeks ago about dogs being smuggled in from Mexico that are infected and being sold to unsuspecting people and there were a few cases of children and animals getting sick or dying from these infected dogs. You need to get child to doc asap and dog to vet asap. Don't let child sleep with animal or be around bowel movement of dog.

Yes. Call your pediatrician and ask whats the best thing to get rid of ring worms on a child. Also you might want to take your dog or whatever animal to the vet to get treatment for ring worms b/c if not your son will probably get another one.
