all depends on the question i guess. be constructive in all your answers though. people don't care for those who just shoot them down when they've gone to the effort of asking the question. be sure you explain that that is what you would do do to experience and that it is not the "exact answer"

Not at all. It is difficult to answer anyone's question without being a little blunt when you have had a similiar experience and know just where they are coming from.
