What are the penalties for illegal entry into to Mexico (especially non-US citizens), are they in-forced?

Initial illegal entry is up to 2 years in prison and 300 to 5,000 pesos fine plus deportation.


Repeated entry is up to 10 years in prison, a higher fine, and deportation.

That is the law. According to some accounts, however, those entering from the Mexican southern border are unofficially subject to violence including being shot.

No double standards HERE! LOLOL I think the US should start CHARGING MEXICO MONEY for each and every person we have to ship back home, and start shipping back home about, what was it, 1,200 a day? Something like that, but start loading buses and present Fox with the bill. If it doesn't get paid then that's his 'vote' to go ahead and finish the border fence and have done with the whole entire charade, just say 'no immigration period' from Mexico for about 5 years or so. They've had their fun at our expense, time for some people to turn around and go home, and take their anti-american attitudes, their drugs, their human trafficking, and all the rest of their wonderful social problems WITH them. In 5 years, when Mexico finally finds a tie, and is willing to talk real business, then we start talking about visas etc again. But, not before. The US is 8.4 trillion dollars in debt, we're not getting richer by letting Mexico basically bleed us.
