I think you can just use a white candle, if you are trying for a design or something.....I think I remember doing that in like summer camp or something. Just rub it on the shirt, where you dont want the tye-dye. Hope it works!!

The best product to use is Batik wax. You can usually find it at craft stores and the like. It will easily transfer from fabric to paper with a hot iron after you are finished dyeing and it is made specifically for use on fabric.

You should try Jacquard Products, they make fabric paints and dyes. You can use the wax resist but it will crack and give you a batik effect. If you do you should use parafin and beeswax mixed to get a less cracked effect. Straight parafin will crack a lot and beeswax cracks less, and you have to be sure that you can iron the shirt to get the wax out.

Look into ' wax resist'. Its like the candle tecnique with melted wax. You may be able to iron wax paper over it, too.
