1.What do you think is the primary cause of world hunger? Why do you think so?
Wars, corrupt government and AIDs. I’m think more of Africa than another country, although the problems are pretty much the same. Getting aid to those countries that are dying from hunger is usually confiscated from the government, or military troops wanting to feed their troops. Also, when crops are grown, those same troops, or neighboring villages that are starving, will come and take what has been grown. Wars destroy the land and make it impossible to grow anything, and AIDs causes incapacitation, so there are no workers to work the land. AIDs in an epidemic in 3rd world countries.
2. Why do you think world hunger is still a problem today? Why or why not?
Yes. The same reason stated above. More conflict means more wars and corruption.
3. Do you think the government should be helping third world nations through the struggle of world hunger? Why or why not?
Until they government of third world countries care about their people, no amount of help on a countries part will do any good. Monies given for aid is spent on luxury items. Stop the corruption and then you can start helping these nations. But how does a country do that without interfering in the countries government?
4. Do you think hunger programs and food shelters are helping the issue of world hunger? Why or why not?
Little by little, but that’s about it.
5. Do you believe biotechnology can help world hunger? Why or why not?
Not until you get to the root problem…
6. Do you believe in school feeding? Why or why not?
May be the only nutritious meal they get.
7. Would you become a vegetarian if it helped stop world hunger? Why or why not?
I don’t see how that would stop world hunger. I really don’t see the correlation between the two. Without supplements, a vegetarian diet is not complete. I don’t eat a lot of meat now, but no, since I don’t think too much of anything is a good idea. It’s all in the balance.
8. Do you do anything to stop world hunger? Why or why not?
Yes. I sponsor two children and hope to add more in the future. Plus our church sends money to people established in those 3rd world countries for food and other necessities.
9. What do you think you are capable of doing to stop world hunger?
What I am doing now. I can’t change the governments there.
10. Will you consider doing something to stop world hunger? Why or why not?
This question assumes I am not already…

1. Corrupt Governments. Men are evil and sinners..
2. Ever since there has been men on the earth there has been hunger because God cursed the earth because of the sin of Adam.
3. No Our government can't solve the problem with money. When we try to help third world nations the poor don't get helped only the corrupt people in government keep the money.
4. No They only help for a short period of time and then they are back where they started.
5, No. There is nothing that will help the poor if they are willing to help them self.
6. No. There is no control over school feeding. The rich get the same meal as the poor without paying for it.
7. No What would that help if I became a vegetarian. In countries like India they have lots of animals to feed the poor but because they believe that what they become when they die they starve.
8. No There is nothing I can do. When I give money the poor never see it.
9. I can do anything.
10. No I don't consider doing anything. I been around the world and I know what goes on. Should I give money so evil people can get rich. The answer is no.
The Lord Jesus Christ told His apostles that the poor will be with us always and I believe it. Matthew 26:11 For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.

I'm 17. :) Name? Just use my Yahoo! Answer nickname. :)
1. War.
2. Some countries still can't build their economy back to acceptable level yet because of several reasons.
3. Yes, because there's nothing wrong with helping people especially when you have the ability to do so. The people in the country should be in the highest priority first though. Besides, what you give is what you get. So, there's really nothing to lose here.
4. No, not really. There's too much people to feed and the programs and food shelters won't be able to afford to feed them all forever. They need more help than this(so they'll be able their own people by themselves).
5. I don't know. I don't even know what it's suppose to do(in bigger (context)
6. ....
7. Yeah sure, I still can eat anyway. Vegetarian food is quite delicious too if cooked or served the right way. :) So, it doesn't matter. It's not a problem to me.
8. I'm trying but I don't think I have done anything yet.
9. No idea.
10. Yea, if I know how to do that. Why? Well, I'm part of the world community so why shouldn't I? =)
PS: WoW, your question is long!
Um, I'm not American so I don't know if I'm qualify to participate in this. ^_^ Anyway, good luck with your project.

1) Overpopulation: people in the third world have too many children for them to support and they have poor economies making it hard to find well paying jobs, thereby compounding the problem.
2) Yes because these third world peasants do not have enough to eat and they seldom eat the right food necessary for proper nutrition.
3) No our government has enough problems here to worry about instead of throwing money at some other countries problems. Also, if we provide them with food this only lead to more people having to many children and the situation in Answer 1 is compounded.
4) Yes, they are helping because they are feeding these people. But then again it hurts in long run (see 3 above.)
5) Yes, it will help grow better crops. But it will hurt as mentioned above... more people having too many children thereby causing further poverty.
6) No, because it causes more of these people to live and therefore procreate and have more children.
7) No, meat (protein) is necessary for a proper diet. Why should I deprive myself for some third world peasant when they would not do the same for me.
8) No, there are too many problems in the civilized world that needs addressing.
9) I could donate to charities that address this concern.
10) No, there are too many problems in the civilized world that needs addressing.
