You should show dad respect and listen to him. He has been here a few more years than you. Ask dad to listen to your side of things so that he can understand where you are coming from. Tell him that you love him and need him to listen to you. If he is reasonable and he should be, you will have some resolve. Read Psalm 35 to (Plead My Cause) and give God respect and He will help you with your concerns. Then read Psalm 4 for (Safety and Protection) against unpredictable and unknown occurrences. Remember this, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31. Peace and God Bless.

What are you arguing about? Since he's the Dad I'm assuming he'll force the both of you to come to a mutual agreement. If not, then you should try it. The bottom line is, someone has to be the bigger person in order for an argument to end.

Its hard but make him sit down with you, if possible, and talk it out. My dad and i didn't talk because i wanted to get married and he didn't approve. Long story short, I sat down with him and we had a very open conversatioin about his concerns and my feelings. It was hard because my dad has a strong personality, but i needed to do it so we could move on. It caused a lot of heart ache for a while there, but hes over it now. Just talk with him. And try to be calm

Well i sorta understand what you're going through
Your dad is the person you have to be with and when it comes to your friends is different coz u want to be with them
dont u?

The first thing u do to bridge such gaps is to stop acting your too modernised to hang out with your dad
Its perfectly normal to have arguments just get real
You're best bet is to clear this out with your dad not on the web

Just spend some time apart to cool off, then when the time is right start a conversation and explain yourself if he explains his self then things are cool but don't get to comfortable. Just keep talking until you know for sure that every thing is everything.

Whenever Me and My dad had any argument
I used to become introvert for some days.Next
either I used to realise what was wrong with me
or with my dad. By that time we understand each
other better and resolve the issues.

I used to argue with my step dad all the time, all I would do is let life take its course. You trade in one set of problems for another and Dad will ALWAYS love you no matter what. Just leave everythang take its course.

you should talk to him and try to work things out. me and my dad had an arguement one day and that was the last time i ever got to talk to him or see him and that was 8 years ago. so talk to him and try to work things out. no matter what it is.

Well some one needs to find a way to let it go, out of Love and respect , and if a third person is involved or the reason for your disagreement, please don`t allow them to come between you and your Dads relationship. that bond is so special.

first I would say respect your dad ... and remember that he loves you.
then talk to him... try to stay calm, if you can not then write him a nice respectful letter and let him know what you feel and want to say...
since I miss my dad who is living in another country so much I would just ask you to enjoy him ... no one can be your dad so if your argument is for small things... think again if it worth it or not...
Good luck
